Name change only.. I purchased the team May 5th and not made it a priority to change the team name. Too busy trying to rebuild it.

I saw several teams from Tasmania and with Devil, Dog or something else so I found an island nation in Oceania named Kiribati and called them the Blitz. Some Oceania owners were not happy other teams were being named for non-Oceania regions so I thought I would name it in the spirit of the region.

The team was stripped before I bought it and the remaining players wanted off. I let them go and tried to rebuild the team. Found out a hard lesson it's virtually impossible to rebuild a team into a competitive group in one season in a Pro League. I doubt we will be competitive in season 3 unless I get really lucky signing free agents.

I was the GM for the Bermuda Pirates. I got a PM from our owner right before he released everybody. Basically, he'd PMed Bort to see if he could get an exemption for the admin transfer in hopes that I could take ownership of the team and keep it "in the family". When this didn't happen, he released all the players, as Tejas mentioned, so that we wouldn't be subject to a new owner when he gives up the team. Then he made a bunch of level 1s on his own and filled the team. no doubt an easy win for the Gods this week, but it was a nice thing to do for the players. It was a precaution to safeguard us from a crappy owner, by letting us find our own opportunities. I really wish I could've taken ownership, but it's all good. I will miss our team though, the forum was always really active. Good luck to all.

Well, if you are going to be rebuilding a team, might as well do it in the South Pacific.

Actually, I'm trying to work out a swap with a lower level team in Oceania to take our place if we miss the demotion which I think we will. Should beat the Tornados in 4 days and get us 14th...

Honestly, if we return for season 3, the Blitz would be a doormat again and I think it would be better for Pro if a more capable team replaced us and we move lower to get a better chance at winning games.

Yeah, I think that would be best for Pro. Though, as much as I hate to say it, most every team in Oceania is pretty brutal, at all the divisions. But I think you'd get a really good chance to build up in A. Good to see someone dedicated like you are.
