Why not just get rid of them?

Because defense needs something. All the defensive ones suck.

I agree...but I think .3% is an excessive nerf. I thought that VA's were a way to keep higher level players interested. While +1% was giving the older guys an enormous advantage, .3% eliminates the value of that VA even to a defensive player. With nothing but VA's that produce questionable/uncertain results, this does little to allow veterans to get excited about improving their player's build. .5% to spd & quick and .67% to the others would've been a more equitable solution. I hope this is changed (again) next off-season.

So if you max out a attribute VA, you will get a .45% increase? .3% x 15 = .0045 x 100 = 100.45

IE if you have 100 in an attribute, you will have a 100.45 in it afterwards?

lol

Well the tests have already shown that Sure Tackler does in fact do NOTHING, and the player with Sure Tackler, if anything, missed more tackles.

This should have been done BEFORE it is forced on the paying customers.

It's worded wrong, it has to be a .3 gain, so 4.5% capped. Which means if you have a base 80 you'll get a whopping 3.6 point gain for spending 15 VAs.

no it's an increase of .3% for each attribute point - don't look it as .003*15 but instead look at it as .3*15 =4.5% so 100*4.5%=4.5 so 100+4.5=104.5

That's because Sure Tackler is still only luck. It's a chance to reroll, it doesn't mean you still won't miss on the reroll.

But by simple probability, it should in fact decrease your number of missed tackles out of 100 attempts.

It does not.

Which effectively makes it useless. Same with Sure Hands. At 15 ranks it activiates 75% of the time on missed tackles, catches, so like 10x a season unless you blow. And even then, you still have the same chance at the play as the first time, which you missed so probably not great.

I'm fairly positive that they did some changes to Sure Tackler and tested it - I'm a new tester though so I haven't read everything they've done in regards to VA's. Maybe I'll test this one first just to see.

Will there be an option to reset your VA's with these changes? I can't remember reading anything about that and the announcement doesn't mention anything about a reset.

If you have base 80 it costs you 6 or 7 SP for each additional point, so those 3.6 points are worth roughly 25 SP, or 5 levels.

Do you really think 15 VAs should be worth more than 5 levels worth of SP?
