I'll admit that the top 4/5 in the East are cream of the crop, where as the West has more overall depth.

So stats will be in favor of most East players, thats obvious. So if stat padding is the soul indicator, then all "Awards" will land in the East. Got to take other factors into consideration though, like Strength of Schedule.

I still don't know why everyone says the East is weaker I see 6 teams in the West with 3-6 or lower records and 5 teams in the East with 3-6 or lowers records. O_o

You fail to miss the point. If you do, uhh, just give up. It shouldn't be this hard.

If he "fails to miss the point" then he gets it right?

Well actually no he doesn't but whatever....

Records have nothing to do with which division is stronger unless you were comparing records against the other division.

I'm just looking forward to the 3/4 season MVP debate and the 7/8 season MVP debate.

You'll have to get through the 9/16 season MVP debate first, sport!

All the games are within conference. So obviously the records are going to be similar. (This is the same bad argument that someone made when the "who's better?" debate was going on; "well both conferences have the same number of wins!!")

Anyhow...as of now there are five teams in the East that are currently in major overhaul mode. Some don't even have any active players in the starting line-up. They're automatic wins where the only mystery is how much you can pad your stats.

In the West, even the lsoing teams are fielding active teams that are capable of pulling the upset every once in a while.

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that we've gone 3 pages deep and, unless I missed it, not a single Mustang and I think just 1 Coyote got mentioned so far? Seems a bit odd to me.

The West isn't stronger than the East at the top. The best 3 teams in the game are all hailing in the East (Coyotes, Mustangs, Pushovers). The West has more middle-of-the-pack teams.

why would asante samuel leading the league in tackles make him the mvp? doesn't that make him less good of a cover cb since he has to go up and make all those tackles?

Because a large amount of those tackles are from Special Teams, or catching the RB.

He's also not leading the league, he's leading the West.

You might want to check things out before you post.

Greg Alstott should definitely be in the discussion.

lol i check your games always before we play San Jose, and a lot of what i see is tackles off of catches brahh. Not saying you are bad or anything, it's your style and you make a lot of big plays - but using tackles as an MVP stat is just not the right way to think of things for a CB in my opinion

It's probably because not many people really care about made up awards.

Tackles are better than missed tackles, and you obviously ignore the fact that im leading the West in PD's. is that also a useless stat .
