The New York Gangsters have just been sold to CTap, a team owner who I feel can greatly improve this team's record. He is coming in with not much to work with, but he feels that he will be able to bring players to New York and at least make this team a respectable one. I feel that I left this team in good hands and in due time this team will be able to match up with the best.

I just felt like I should let people know what happened after the argument about team gutting in the other thread. Please none of that here. I think if anyone has any questions or wants to welcome CTap into the USA Pro, it should be done here.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I have made about 50 moves tonight as we have spread the players previously occupying our 3 teams among our the 4 teams that myself and my buddies now run. It took quite a bit of effort but hopefully we can right the ship a bit for the NY franchise. We are certainly looking forward to the challenge of trying...

Thanks for having the balls to come in and run a gutted team in a powerhouse league!

Looks like you added a good deal of talent to that roster. Good luck next season (when you have your Chemistry back).

We have a few more guys we are bringing over at some point, but yea our Chemistry is a bit shot out LOL... and about half the guys we brought over haven't used their boosts yet - so the level 13s for instance are really 16s, just waiting for the ok to boost.

*shrug* Had to take the Chemistry hit at some point and hopefully we can at least stop the bleeding and prevent relegation now...

Welcome CTap Good luck.. I've had the team for a little while now and still looking for players. Just isn't that easy to rebuild.

Eh, we are a bit of a different situation. Part of the reason Frankel sold the team to me instead of someone else (or at least I presume part of the reason LOL) is that I have a whole group of guys that plays with me on my other teams and we all have multiple characters that we can bring to this team.

We basically already have a full roster (sans a bit of depth) with the players basically all being levels 13-19 once we boost them for this season....

That is the exact reason why I sold it to you. I figured it would take the least amount of time for the team to bounce back with you as the owner.

We have moved most of our guys over already... just have a few that we are waiting for their current contracts to expire so they can come over and join us. We are still debating whether or not to boost the unboosted characters, as we are basically already eliminated from playoff contention and probably aren't in any real danger of being relegated, even if we don't boost. Our only question is the actual effect of Team Chemistry on us over the next 7-ish games.

You gain so very little from not boosting that unless you are looking for a tiny edge to win the title its pointless not to boost.

At this point, that may be so, but we actually have a couple of math teachers that created spreadsheets documenting the exp gains from training and gameplay for our guys if boosted vs not boosted to determine where they would finish the season. Obviously some of the game exp at higher levels had to be extrapolated and guesstimated, but we expect they were pretty accurate. My QB would end up 1.3 levels higher if I waited until the end of the season than if I boosted at the beginning... so, it is enough of a difference that it made many of us hold off on boosting.
