i instantly thought running on "combo" would let you use both

+1
Thank god I didnt spend my VAs yet.

No, running on combo (0 or balanced) would not use either of these VAs.

"At least" Remember your less than or equal to sign from high school math? As worded it ought to be both, as the midpoint is included in both, but that doesn't mean it's so.

One final explanation on the slippery/bruiser. Here is the HB slider:

-100---------(-50)----------0----------(50)---------100

-100 is full power rushing. 100 is full elusive. 0 is combo. The -50 mark is where bruiser starts to work (and everything left of it as well). The 50 mark is where slippery starts to work (and everything right of it).

Translation: you cannot use both bruiser and slippery at the same time.

I'm running 65 for these scrimmages. I'll adjust from that.

Setting it to 100 for 2nd scrimmage.

Edit: Didn't run much first game.

Has anyone used the 'creative' route running option? Juking early in the route to avoid defenders? I used it yesterday for my elusive back (70+ Agility) and it didn't work well at all, thinking about going back to exact route running as that earned him 3000 yards last season.

I'm starting at -100 for my Combo back (he's combo but leans HEAVILY to Power) and will work my way back until I find the sweet spot for him. I have a feeling there will be no universal "best" setting for Power or Elusive, it's going to depend on your individual stats.

Really, I think that's the way it will be too.

70/72/55, and I went with -50.

The results have been excellent so far; though I'm far beyond the recommended max for the league I'm in so the results may not mean much (I just want to win, fame means nothing to me). Secondary guys have a lot of trouble bringing me down, and I can just get away from the bigger guys. I seem to be getting a really good mix of Power Through breaks, and a lot of Spins too. My spin is only on two so this surprises me.

My other back is 53/77/70, and I went with 20. I didn't do very well, about 4 ypc. I'm used to more than that though. I think I'll go with more elusive running for next game. I just didn't want to have pathfinding issues.

EDIT: route running settings are just for pass plays. Just so you guys know.

For clarification purposes, have we heard or do we have any educated guesses as to what the "old" settings were? You know--power, combo, and elusive--what did they "translate" to in regards to the new settings?

power = -100, combo = 0, elusive = 100

yes, but screens are routes too (not that it matters, cause you wont have a defender near you on a screen)

I didn't even notice it. I'm going to put it on the juke early option for this next scrimmage and see how it works out.
