well not gonna lie win your player over first before you send a contract and that way you can negotiate beforehand.

That is why a propose the counter offer feature.

i.e.
Team A proposes the following contract to Player B:
3,000 a day
25,000 signing bonus
Allow Trade
1 year, end on day 40

Player B is interested, but rejects the offer because he/she is looking for a bigger signing bonus, and a no-trade clause. Player B then sends back the following trade to the team owner:

3,000 a day
50,000 signing bonus
Disallow Trade
1 year, end on day 40

Team A is willing to give into the demands and can accept the player's terms.


I think this feature would greatly enhance contract negotiation. Let's start the revolution. Who's with me?



Take it a step further and just let the player and team exchange messages right there on the offer sheet - basically letting the offer sheet itself act somewhat like an instant messaging system. The team or free agent then get alerts when the other responds. This further eliminates pm spam.

While we're at it, could we maybe add a counter offer for signing ppl too, if they havent signed with another team but didn't like the contract we gave them, cause that'd help too
