I posted it to the Mod forum as well since I really liked this idea and it's actually an idea that seems to be liked by the vast majority of people across 6 pages (I really don't remember that happening before). Hopefully Bort will see it.

cant you just get a free chat room and gt everyone to join?

That would take a ton of extra planning and coordination to pull off, then require multiple windows and things going on at the same time to pull off. If it was embedded into the site, that would be much easier to pull off. Also, that way, the head of that room hits "play" and everyone who is in the chat room sees it go at the same time, so everyone is synced up.

I don't know for sure. It would just be a group of people watching the same replay we have available right now, only at the same exact time. That shouldn't slow anything down.

I would imagine the chat function would have to be hosted on a different server (or maybe just an embedded IRC channel or something like that), so in theory, I wouldn't think it would slow the site down. But I'm not an expert at that stuff, so I could be wrong.

you'd actually have 5+ people watching 1 replay...so i would think that takes less resources than 5 people watching 5 replays -

but i don't know anything about programming

Yeah Good Idea while u click the watch the game you can watch the plays go by 1 by 1 and chat with your team mates

Then if you dont feel like chatting just go to Play by Play
