Yeah they'd be pretty good, but not a huge ton better than 11 really, based on the way that most of them work. Yes it would take a while to get something to lv 15, not to mention all the SP's you have to spend to get to lv 10 naturally!

Interesting. Kind of diminishing returns, logarithmic scale or whatever? Going from 9 to 10 gives more than going from 10 to 11?

Sorta; there's just some special stuff in there for stuff greater than 10 to keep things from getting horribly broken (like autofake every time or something LOL)

Bort here mentions that for SA, when you go above 10 you get diminishing returns on your investment.

Making the logical step to abilities above 100 showing some sort of logarithmically diminishing returns, is there any point in putting all your equipment into one thing to take it past 100, or should you spread your equipment round more?

This could have ramnifications to people pumping one attribute to a stupidly high figure whilst ignoring others.

Any thoughts?

So just to clarify, you guys think that there isn't a drop-off in the affectiveness of adding to an ability once it gets to over 100? In contrast with what happens to SAs.

Anybody else care to reply with actual reasons and a thought-out answer?

100 is better than 99. 101 is better than 100. Is the difference from 100 to 101 as much as the difference from 99 to 100? Probably not. But, it still helps.

What i'd like to know is how anyone could know for sure. (Except for Bort of course)

Too lazy to dig it up, but somewhere in the Bort Stalker thread, I believe he discussed this very thing.

BTW, Star-man > The Great Puma.

I'd say it depends on what position and what rating

100 strength for an interior lineman? He'd sure muscle people around.

100 speed for a WR? He sure would streak past anyone.

just depends what you got

100 speed requires 80 agility - minimum.

Too bad posting doesn't require people to have some sort of reasoning for their posts, rather than the ability to blindly spew out numbers they made up on the spot, and act like they are fact...

What are the point cap limits (roughly)?

1st is 48
2nd is 60
When do hit the third, fourth, etc...

Link

48.07 = 2
60.52 = 3
67.98 = 4
73.25 = 5
77.29 = 6
80.54 = 7

only the first 2 have been verified by me.

Because by the time the play is over, if your agility is low, you'll never actual make it to your top speed.

Regardless, the number he's calling a minimum is a total guess.
