I agree with Avenger on this..Sorry but i would rather lose with 40 players then have 10+ CPU players on my team.

You yourself stated that you were lucky to make some of the connections that you have. REALISTICALLY, there is no way, we are going to have some teams in this league NOT have CPU players with recruiting for this league as it is! The way I see it is, the only other option is to have more teams go CPU themselves because it is never fun to lose every game just because they cannot recruit enough players in ONE, TWO or THREE positions??? Every other player may be very good. But as you know, if you cannot recruit any guards or tackles. You are done, over. You will get beat by any team that is decent. That team will lose all of it's agents and that team will go CPU. Okay let's just promote a lower level team. That would much more often than not have the same effect with many losses and teams going CPU.

SO reward owners who have worked their way up. ianthepeon's team was a very good team last season. Many of his older players just missed the extended plateau deal and he had some big holes to fill. Recruiting made that impossible. In the future, players will be able to stay much longer and there will not be as many teams that will have those problems.

Btw, I recruited 5 cpu players myself. WHY NOT? In fact i thought it would be stupid not to take advantage of the lack of falloff in these new cpu players and give my team depth. (They are all on Special Teams)I think it is almost foolish not to. IT IS NOW PART OF THE GAME! if that changes, I will cut them!

One last thing, while I have on some occasions had polar opinions to your thoughts, "Negative Nancy" I appreciate that you do express your opinions. You have also helped me in some of my questions I have had over time and that is greatly appreciated. You obviously have a lot of intelligence and whether I agree with you or not, your opinions inspire thought and discussion. There is nothing but good that can from that!

HEY, how about instead of calling you "Negative Nancy" how's "Nancy" for short??!!

Very nice post and I completely agree. While we should all try to have a full human roster, that is not possible for every team up here. Casual Pro has to not only fight with each other for quality dots, but you then add the non-Casual WL, Pros, AAA and AA because some/most will not play in Casuals for whatever stupid reason.

----------------------

With that said, ianthepeon, if you need help later this season with recruiting let me know. My first responsibility is my Network teams, namely the Dots, but after that I'd be more than happy to help.

But the Fuggers were pancaked to death by CPU Olinemen which in turn made it VERY easy for them to get beatenb by the run and their lone CPU DE had the best game out of the whole Dline....

To PM, recruit, and seduce 9 to 11 agents with builds that do that much damage to a Pro Casual roster would take a TON of time and effort, now WTF for, when CPU's aren't a drop off from real talent at all, old or new!

Oh... and for the record... I signed 7 CPU players to my roster on day 0 to bring my roster count to 55. I intended on using them as STOPs, but then I realized that A) I felt a little dirty for doing it and B) CPU dots still suck at STs regardless of the buff. They never sniffed the depth chart and I released them all on day 1.

I don't think this post would even come close existing one little bit and not a single one of us owners and co-ordinators would bat an eye at a team with just 11 CPU players if they were much more toned down.

I'm starting to believe the OP is not at fault here, its just way too successful at the CPU player level right now.

I'll tell you one more thing guys, if the "pinnacle" of the regular leagues (World League) had a team with 11 CPU players on it and won a game against an above average fully recruited other WL team, mother f'in sh!t would hit the fan imo!!

Since you still have room, try a CPU TE, see if he pancakes a LDE all day for testing sakes?

There'd be an angry mob of Kai outside Bort's door within 15 minutes of said game.

I'll try to win on the merits of my recruiting ability (and the others who helped this season)... but thanks for the suggestion. I'll ride it out and hope Bortch22 does the correct thing and tones the CPUs down a little more so their just AVERAGE dots and not SUPERIOR dots.

Besides, if I wanted to feel dirty, I'd be a University of Kentucky fan.

Well considering that my human players have a 87 point higher effective level than them, yes I say it is close to working as intended. And this is precisely why I detest message boards and forums and refuse to use them very much. It's probably why I don't belong to a network here. There IS an elitist attitude with people who post on the forums a lot, and most the time you get nothing more than smart-ass comment and/or put-down.

I check the GLB forums frequently to keep up on changes and most threads turn in to name-calling, inb4(fill in the blank), and your working as intended line. And most of the people doing it belong to the top networks in GLB. And it usually happens to new people, or people who don't make the best players. I don't let people talk to me like that in my real life, so I am surely not going to let some random stranger do it over the computer. That's why I never post and probably won't post that much any more this year.

But that's not an accurate depiction of those dots... What you see when they're not in a game isn't anywhere close to what you get on the field. Catch has already stated that right before kickoff those dots morph into players that are supposed to be equal to the rest of the dots on the field. But apparently they're not equal... because many CPU dots not playing STs are having games most human dots only dream about.

First off CPU players being better then the average human player IS NOT good for the game..What do you think will happen this off season if CPU players remain as they are..Teams are going to dump the average builder and sign CPU players, how is that good for the game?
This really has nothing to do with you personally,i just think GLB has set a bad precedent here, and it's only going to get worse if this is not corrected now.

And you keep perpetuating this nonsense of my lack of recruiting and just taking the lazy way out and signing CPU's. I guess I just magically have the second highest effective level in the league.

Just my opinion here, not trying to be elitist. I think you have a bit of the "Can't see the forest for the trees" going on here. Most people are agreeing with you, including me and I'm a member of two networks. Shit, even Avenger is talking himself into agreeing with you. Like I said before, I'd be more than happy to help you recruit next season if you need it. If you'd like I can bring you in to my Network and show you that we are not all the devil, though Avenger is in there so... .
