WELCOME TO RINKENÆS

http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s173/jmadsen60/GLB/Velkommen-til-Rinkens.jpg

A new era has started in the small Danish village of Rinkenæs in Southern Jutland, as General Manager Madsen founded the Rinkenæs Ringriders, aspiring Western Europe Pro football team.

How a tiny parish like Rinkenæs Sogn will ever be able to support a fullsize American Football franchise (or why they would even want to try), might never fully dawn on the slow but hardworking community of 2,397 inhabitants (of which 1,271 live in Rinkenæs town), nor on the world, but nevertheless: The foundation of the Ringriders is a fact!

And squad recruiting is going surprisingly well, stated GM Madsen:
-"Indeed, after less than 24 hours of existence, we're practically ready to play ball. Our basic stadium emerged overnight, with a little help from extra workers from South of the border, and having signed 26 players on our first drafting day, we're more than well on the way to a real, live minimum roster."

With all the commotion going on, one might assume the village would appear disturbed, but apparantly it takes a lot more to arouse the steady Rinkenæs townsfolk:
-"Football? With the hands? I give it a fortnight," squealed parish clerk Fistel.

But whether or not famous parish duck, "Rapanden" Rasmus, will still be quacking quietly from the village pond come matchday, remains to be seen...

"Staden" was yesterday signed to become a divine HB in Rinkenæs.

"Staden" is a famous soccerplayer in the game www.hattrick.org he also plays for the Danish nationalteam. He is atm 28y old, but his body is still young and fresh. "Staden" is wellknown for his scandelous behaviour, the beer drinking and the pleasure girls.

"Staden" is multiskilled and will still play soccer fulltime while playing HB in Rinkenæs. He is fast as hell, his speciality is Quick. As you can see here from his hattrick page http://www.hattrick.org/Common/playerDetails.asp?playerid=48389394&LanguageID=2

Here is an image from one of his best games on the Danish national team
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w27/ahnfeldt/Staden-Walesscoring.jpg

I am sure that "Staden" will be famous here in GLB.

"I love challenges and american football is just my style. I am quick, it really doesnt matter if I have the ball at my feet or in my hand, I just run from everyone. I am looking forward to my first real season and I will become imba and gain a lot of levels. I want some boosting... NOW.... And beers ffs... where are the ladies????" Said "Staden" to the reporter.

"Build it and he will come"

The magnificent stadium rising in the small village Rinkenæs has been the awakening call for former FC Hattrick player and all time spectator favourite Gyser Jørgensen, who is set to start a career as a football player.

the press agrees; This will absolutely set new standards in the art of kicking a ball:

"This famous soccer player, that for years have amazed the audience with brilliant tecnique and acrobatic yet hopeless details on the soccerfield, that constanttly diffused everybdy including himself, now wants to try out the infamous "El-Bart-finte" on the footballfield, and we do expect this to be quite a fuss.
Minimum salary and training facilities in the middle of nowhere doesnt scare this legend, since hes convinced he will rock the world and beat every record there is to beat.
How far the ball will be carried using the "El-Barto-finte (a skillfull kick with crossed legs while the ball is moving often copyed by great players like diego maradona)is still unknown, but we do look forward to the first fieldgoal attempt from this notoric superstar"

GET IN THE RINK

Construction work at the Ringriders' brand new arena is going on around the clock, but that didn't scare thousands of people from purchasing season tickets for The Rink http://goallineblitz.com/game/stadium.pl?team_id=1213 . Accountant Johansson, rubbing his hands:
-Indeed, ticket sales have been exxxcellent so far, with people queuing up for miles up front of the arena office. We immediately sold out the first 4 home games when tickets went on sale 2 days ago, and the remaining 4 are well on the way, so we're still building more seats to accomodate the surprising demand for tickets in the community. I mean, we're barely 2,500 people in all of Rinkenæs Parish, so folks must be bringing in relatives from all over the region...

In other news, the Ringriders signed WR Ailton Almeida http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=131929 in a spectacular $130,000 deal with Southeast Asian bottom league team, Narón Panthers. GM Madsen:
-A transfer sum of $130,000 is quite a bit for a new team like ourselves, but in the light of our very promising ticket sales, we were able to convince the board of the imminent impact Almeida would have on our passing game. I'm very proud to be able to field another strong receiver next to Crabtree for our first league match today, and Ailton is glad to be back in Denmark after his brief Asian adventure.

RIDIN' HIGH

The Ringriders are off to a 2-0 start after back-to-back home wins against the Dubling Bulls and the Port St Lucie Knuckle Dusters. Rinkenæs fans are ecstatic after being treated to no less than 9 Ringriders touchdowns so far, with the versatile offense firing on all cylinders. A Rinkenæs Irregular reporter caught up with a shy RR Quarterback, Croatian whizz-kid Tihomir Mandic (28/38, 299yds, 3 TD, 0 Int in Match #2), after yesterday's training:

RI: -Mandic, great start to your first season as starter! You appear extremely comfortable out there?
Mandic: -Good start yes. We run ball much but receivers also strong, so I try throw some too.

RI: -The fans love you and already dubbed you "Magic", how about that?
Mandic: -Fans are very kind, but is no magic. Is hard work by O-Line give us time to set up attack.

RI: -Three sweet touchdown passes to Crabtree in Tuesday's game, he seems like your favorite receiver?
Mandic: -I know Derrius from old club in USA but I got no favorite. We try hit open man. First match we hit Ailton remember?

RI: -Yes, Ailton was on fire in that first match, but seemed a bit tired yesterday?
RI: -Him travel from old team in Asia, him tired. But him be back next match and I try hit him again.

RI: -I see. And the Running Backs sure haven't held back either, three 100+ yards rushers in two matches, with Stadsholt making no less than 179.5 yards yesterday, it's almost too many options for you?
Mandic: -Staden and Rubarth are very good. Is good for me, to rest arm some.

RI: -Two sacks yesterday, you looked like you went down hard. Any problems with that arm?
Mandic: -No, arm is fine. And rushing is fine.

RI: -Alright Mandic, thank you for your time, I see coach Eriksen calling you over, and good luck in tomorrows match!
Mandic: -Thank you, we need luck. Them look very strong, but we try run ball and hit open man.

In other news, thousands of Rinkenæs fans have been trying to locate IK Kung Fu land to support their heroes in today's difficult away match at the 2-0 Mutineers topping the Western Europe AA #4 league, but not even the TV2 News chopper was able to locate the arena. However, new tickets for the brand new arena seats at The Rink are on sale for RR's remaining home games, so there should be lots of action for the latest Rinkenæs fad (which looks like it might stick around for a while) - American Football!

CAN I KICK IT?

After two great home wins, the Rinkenæs Ringriders visited Kung Fu land in a nailbiting 3rd Round overtime drama, ending up in a spectacular 17-17 tie against Western Europe AA #4 Alpha Conference leaders, IKK Fu Rabid Mutineers.

Despite a demotivating first-half deficit of 10-0, the Ringriders managed an excellent 3rd Quarter comeback, only to fall behind again in the 4th. But a hasty drive down the Mutineers' half within the Two-Minute Warning set up another field goal attempt for superstar kicker Jørgensen, who finally made it with 46 seconds to go. However, the treacherous cross-pitch winds continued to trouble Jørgensen in the Overtime, and even though dominating the game in yardage, Rinkenæs had to settle with the tie after Jørgensen's 4th and 5th missed field goal for the day.

Rookie linebacker, Fritz Søndergaard (after the match:
-"Man, what a game! I thought we were toast after the first half, but our Offense never lost faith and kept on grinding. I feel bad for Gyser, he nailed the crucial FG to bring us into overtime, but damn... If he'd just made one of those 5 missed ones, we would have beaten one of the best teams in the league! Still, I think we can be proud of our first away match - if we can keep playing like this, nothing will stop us from making the playoffs!"

In other news, another rookie Ringriders linebacker scored the club's first sack. Brent Blowhole, after going down in history:
-"Hell, yeah."
