also this seems to be a growing trend so we will see a few teams which have cashed in with the current rosters and look to slow build.

it will be interesting in that some of the higher level players will have fewer choices and that the capped leagues may be even harder to recruit.

Just an odd dynamic in that I think a lot of people have given up banging their heads trying to improve the first team and just want to start over.

Recruiting for MCRG, you realize that there are some GREAT builds that will dominate players that outlevel them, there are horrific builds by people who dont have a clue and there's such a wild diversity of money requests that there really is no economy other than what you want.

Definatly higher level players serve absolutly no purpose in the gutted team lifestyle and it seems the Europe leagues are FULL of dead teams. Just in our conference there are what, now 5 teams that were sold, including ours. FIVE. That's 5 teams that will be dropping all those lvl 20+. I know via pm, a lot of those players will be retired.

Slow build for that new team, maybe down the road but I'd like to at least represent next season or two with MCRG, and if we can get a stable core of players with good builds and keep from getting assraped on finances by kooks then I think we can pull that off.

As for the Triceratops wearing a Leather Saddle. We're on the verge. This is exactly how most were thinking, that our 3rd season we'd be on the door of a playoff and walk through it.

Well, here we are.

Sorry guys that was seriously not our intention. My intention was to be competitive immediately. When I bought this team the stadium had never been improved. The math just didn't work out to pay a team full of LVL 25-30 with a 8700 seat stadium. You will all hammer us this season and send us packing to A #something, bu starting over was the best option for us.

Pretty hard to argue that

Yeah no way can you pay higher level players if nothing was done with the stadium. I agree with what you're doing. Still it might be worth it to go after some good mid level players in the mid-teens (over 13 so you're not fighting the new capped teams) so that next year you're competitive and don't take the hit to chemistry that recruiting a whole team will take in the offseason.

Just my two cents.

I agree try be somewhat competitive while you are building those guys .lose 60-10 instead of these 255-0 games. But also remember this league when formed had a lot of talent immediately.when the caps come off those A teams they just attack the FA market.

i dont agree with what he is doing (owner has 10+ players above level 20) but i can understand why he would do it. Didn't see the stadium thing.....that sucks, 2nd year in and not a single section....

If there was no minimum salary I wouldn't do it. I had 20+ over LVL 20 willing to play for me. But you can't pay them without expansion, and you can't afford expansion while paying them.

I have no issues with it. It sucks that you have to do it this way but it is what is best for your team.

Good luck.

Slow building also improves your FP economy. You build a better player, you get to build MORE players and you get more bang for you buck.

lvling players sucks. Right there, you blow 30% of you xp into nothing.
