Yukon advances after a scare, only to run into the only team they have yet to beat in the regular season, the Maniacs. The Maniacs redeem themselves with a clean, but tight victory over Sactown. These two teams have been dominant over the last two years, and though the road was significantly more difficult this year, it shouldn't suprise anyone they are here. Can Montreal continue to slip beyond the Pwners' reach, or will Yukon finally overcome the one titanic, seemingly impossible hurdle that has caused them to fall short for the last two seasons? I think Montreal will continue to shake off the very stubborn Pwners, 23-21.
Next, the West tells another story entirely. Nike and Edmonton. Both teams languished away from the playoffs last year, and had borne no comment at the beginning, with Nike annihilating those that stepped on them before, and with the exception of the stunning loss on game 12 to the Rockstars, have barely stumbled. Now, the consummate underdog stands between them and the prize.
The Experiments are a definite success, regardless of how well they do in this playoff. They crash the playoff party, which raises a few eyebrows, and then proceed to knock off the seemingly invincible Rockstars. If that didn't get heads to turn, their surprisingly dominant win over Prince George should. Will the party crashers be asked to the big dance, or will Nike(The Greek word for victory, btw) live up to their names? I pick Nike by the count of 38-28. What do you guys predict?
