Alright, well here it is. Toulouse and Berlin won their conferences in some pretty wild games, and both will be moving up next year. But first, they play one more time to determine the Western Europe AA#1 champ.

2. Toulouse Aviators
v.
2. Berlin Ballers

Matchup: http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=634&team2=664

Last meeting: Never faced

How they got here:

Toulouse's path -

vs. PGL Gamers - W (37-12) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=131114
vs. Eurotrash Rabid Bats - W (29-26) (OT) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=136071
vs. Manchester Mob - W (16-7) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=138142

Berlin's path -

vs. Dublin Dragoons - W (24-14) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=131118
vs. Dallas Browns - W (34-0) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=136073
@ Inverness Highlanders - W (10-6) http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=138143

Team Stats (take these with a grain of salt, as they played different competition for a vast majority of the year):

Passing Yards (League Rank): Berlin - 3,633 (11th), Toulouse - 3,154 (19th)

Rushing Yards: Berlin - 3,726 (4th), Toulouse - 3,588 (6th)

Points Scored: Berlin - 656 (3rd), Toulose - 605 (6th)

Passing Yards Allowed: Berlin - 2,659 (2nd), Toulouse - 2,885 (5th)

Rushing Yards Allowed: Berlin - 263 (1st), Toulouse - 631 (3rd)

Points Allowed: Berlin - 148 (1st), Toulouse - 149 (2nd)

I think that last stat will be the main story behind this game. I expect another very low scoring game, with one or two turnovers being the difference. I'd say it's a 50/50 tossup as to who wins.

I think the matchup to watch here is very obvious. Toulouse's William Jennings has been sacked twice in 19 games this year, including 0 in the playoffs. Berlin recorded 117 sacks in the regular season, and has added 26 more in 3 playoff games. If Toulouse slows down Berlin's pass rush, they probably win. If they don't, they could be in trouble.

Congrats to Cedo for correctly calling this matchup from day 1 of the playoffs. I hope he predicts us to win since he seems to be Nostradamus Jr.

How does everyone else see this game winding up?

Toulouse is the team. The championship was already played. That is unless they can't block magnus and his twin.

I will stick with my original pick of Toulouse. I have to stay in the Alpha, although it is quite obvious Berlin's D is a pain in the Ass to game plan against. Good luck to both teams and Congrats on making it to the next level. I am sure you will represent our league well and continue your success. On a less serious note, I think I can say this for the rest of WE AA, Don't Let The Door Hit You on the Way Out !!

I don't know if I'm biased because I'm Zeta or if I'm biased because we had to (got to?) play Berlin twice this year, but I expect Berlin to pull off the win. That defense is so dominant, and their game planning so strong, Toulouse really needs to bring one hell of a game to get enough points on the board...

Lucky me. I get to face Magnus the Monster tomorrow. I think I feel a "strained hammy" happening in pre-game warmups

Going to be a real close game but I'd put my money on Berlin

I'm putting my money on Toulouse. No offense to Berlin but for today I have to root for Alpha and Toulouse since my CB Aric Green is a member of Toulouse. Tomorrow it will be back to cheering for Zeta in WE AA#1 and Alpha in WE AAA#1 sorry but that is just the way it is going to have to be. It was all in the master plan so that I wouldn't be confused in which conference to cheer for and that is the real reason why Birmingham chose to stay behind another season. Hey it sounded good anyways. *lol*

Well so much for that as Berlin won. I don't know the score but Toulouse record is now showing 21-3 so that means they lost. Congrats to Berlin and keeping the trophy in Zeta Conference.

Congrats to Berlin, I knew this game will be tough, but it was tougher than I expected. Damn Berlin, you are having a hell of a defense. Good luck next season.

Great game guys. Both defenses played real well, fortunately we just played a little better. Both teams dropped TD passes that could've swung momentum to either side. You guys have a real good OL and limited our sack chances, but we got some big ones when it counted most.
