Interview with Anytime Hurricane by Don Biggs of WSTD
Biggs: Welcome Mr. Hurricane and happy to have you with us today! First off, congratulations on your new contract with the Vilnius Maulers. How do you feel about this team?
Anytime: Thanks for having me Don, and thank you for your kind words. I think the Maulers have a great squad of players, and great ownership. They were just looking for that special "something" to put them over the top, and that something is Anytime.
Biggs: I see, so how do you see yourself fitting in on this team?
Anytime: Well, If it was up to me, I would be on the field all the time. But Anytime understands there are other players, and other egos out there who need to see the field too. So as the true team player Anytime strives to be, I will accept whatever role ownership sees fit for me. But just some advice, the fans come to see Anytime with the rock, so getting the ball in my hands should be priority number one.
Biggs: So does that mean you think you are the "big play" threat the Maulers were looking for?
Anytime: First off, don't ever think you would know what Anytime is thinking. Anytime is on a different level than you Don, remember that. Secondly, Anytime KNOWS he is a big play threat. It is Eastern Europe that is soon to find out. From practices, i'm sure the other players and coaches know what the Hurricane brings to the table.
Biggs: Touchy one aren't we. Anyways, it has been reported that you have been seen with your two body guards frequenting the adult part of town, specifically the exotic dancing spots Switch Hitter and The Dirty Bird, is there any truth to this?
Anytime: Anytime doesn't like your attitude Don, and if you keep it up, this interview will be over. Anytime has a sweet tooth so to speak for the finer things in life, and dancing is one of those. We have no comments on the situation regarding Switch Hitter's at this time, beyond letting people know who plan on visiting, know what you are getting yourself into. That is one club you will NEVER see Anytime at again. The Dirty Bird, however, is a great establishment and I already am a regular there. These girls are hard working and need people like Anytime to show them they are loved and appreciated. It is a service to my community I will happily continue during my tenure with Vilnius.
Biggs: I'm sure it is Anytime. You also have a shoe deal with a new company known as Noke, is that correct?
Anytime: Yes it is. The "Air Hurricanes" will be in stores early fall. I'm very excited that the up and coming Noke decided to use the Hurricane as there spokesman, and hope to help them on there rise to the top. People want to see Anytime, so it is only natural that they would want his official footwear as well.
Biggs: Intersting, so with your frequent trips downtown, a shoe deal in the works, and your custom shirts, when does Anytime sit down for film study with his team?
Anytime: Anytime comes prepared each and every week don't you doubt. Some people might struggle to fit everything into there day. Not Anytime. I am on a higher level than you Don, and am not bound by your same rules and regulations. When Anytime takes the field, magic happens, don't you worry. I learned from watching my Idol, Antonio Sharpe of the East St. Louis Tire Fires, and hope to make him proud if he ever sees one of my games.
Biggs: Antonio Sharpe...there have been rumors that he is a locker room cancer and self absorbed. Hopefully we will not see that here in Vilnius?
Anytime: Don....this interview is over. How dare you disrespect a great like Antonio. Come see me after my first TD, but watch your mouth next time. Anytime is above the law and won't hesitate to slap the taste out of your mouth for comments like that next time.
Biggs: Well there you have it, Anytime Hurricane ladies and gentleman. This is Don Biggs reporting with WSTD.
