As weird as it is as it's only been a couple of days I'm really attached to my DT and it would suck to know that a couple of months from now he wouldn't exsist and I'd be right back at level one with a new character. If forced retirement already implimented or is it something they are THINKING about adding?

As of right now, no. Think it is under consideration though.
Even if their is a forced retirement, or a gradual decay in athletic skills brought on by age, it wouldn't happen for at least 10 seasons. At ~50 days per season rotation 10 seasons will run 500 days. So you get him for a year and a half at the very least should forced retirement take place at 10 seasons, which would be the earliest you could place it I would think.

Hopefully they'll implement an 'Age' thing when/if it comes to that.
There has to be something or else the current players would just keep getting better and better and there would be no place for new players.

If you do retire, you should get more than the flex points you spent...otherwise I'd never put any more money into my character ever again.
yes, players will eventually peak and then plateau.
retirement will happen.
retirement will happen.
when you retire you get 100% of the creation cost and 70% of FP spent on that player back.

If its forced retirement it should be 100% FP.. Otherwise its just a scam.

Yes, if "forced" retirement is in the future, my pocketbook will close early.

It's not a scam you dolt.
You'll have gotten the FP purchase benefits for well over a year by then.
Seriously. Use your brain people.

What is the point of having 70% of your FP, if you spent 100, and got 70 back, really only 50 of that is useful what are you going to do with the other 20. It should just be 100% always.

Plus no matter what they decide it can't be called a scam if they clearly tell you beforehand what will happened.
I think it's a good move though because otherwise these new players would have thousands of flex points at their disposal and would just shoot right back up to the higher levels in no time.

Wow I'm glad I know this now...I have serious issues with this.
How can I be expected to invest in something that will not show returns or be long term? We're talking about something I will have put a good 50-100 bucks in over a long stretch of time! That's like world of warcraft retiring your player after you played for 3 years because they wouldn't live that long...what a horrible thing.
From a consumer's standpoint, I do believe it is cheap. Who cares if I shoot back up? I put MY time and MY money into it and I should be rewarded accordingly, you just can't take it away because it's realistic or to give someone else a chance to be the best.
Use your brain? Ok tell me how this makes sense. I invest time and money into something for entertainment, and the level of my entertainment is (should be) directly related to the amount of time and money I invest. So you are telling me, that if I invest more time and money than other people, that you are going to take away %70 of my investment as well as all the aforementioned time put into that entertainment? That sounds like a scam to me ESPECIALLY considering I've put money into it already before I knew this.
You can guarantee that I will be much less likely to put my money into something that has diminishing returns, especially if it is for entertainment.

Are we talking level 99 plateau or is this still being decided
I like the idea of breaking up a junta of early adopters from totally owning the top of the ranks, but at a certain point it does kinda suck to invest a lot of time into a character then he's gone.
will it be a cap on the number of seasons per player? will the number of seasons basically become that guy's "age" ?
