Thought I'd give this write-up thing a shot.
Firestorm #1 seed vs. Delta Force #4 seed
With an improved roster and having team chemistry nearly be a thing of the past, Mekong is putting themselves in position to upset the #1 seeded Firestorm. On the back of a great running back in JR McClinton and an excellent secondary lead by G. Wu it's easy to see why Mekong was able to comfortably dispatch a good Oklahoma team in their first round victory.
The Firestorm hope to keep their momentum going lead by a balanced air and ground attack. With good offensive weapons available it’s up to the O-line to give the offense time to execute and if they can it could be a long day for the Delta Force.
Series 3-0 in favor of Firestorm.
Idols #2 seed vs. Warriors #3 seed
The Idols looking to repeat last season with a trip to the conference finals are headed by a man known as "The Beast". Jeeberoni, having another brilliant season has led this potent defense, one that is focused on getting to the QB often. On offense the Idols rely on two great running backs in Speedy Cruiser and Ricky Yamaguchi for their ground attack and have one of Alpha's top QBs in Green Arrow. They can hurt you in every facet of the game and look to do that again in the second round against the Warriors.
The Warriors with arguably the best offensive line in Alpha will have their hands full with Jeeberoni, but compared to the rest of Alpha have had some success against "The Beast".
Behind that stout line is their "Lady Killer" QB Rick Blaine. With a big time arm and an even bigger mouth Rick is the outspoken leader in the huddle. The Warrior offense is one filled with potential playmakers, from Bill to Dix to Wazzu at RB and a recieving core lead by TE Pischke and WR OJ.
It will be up to the offense to keep the Idols offense off the field and give defensive playmakers Domino Demon and Hugh Jedump enough breaks to be able to come at them full bore.
Series 2-0 in favor of the Idols.
