Hey guys, I see that your ownership went under and I feel bad because yall were very competitive. If you don't know who I am, I was the Defensive Coordinator for the past two seasons for the Glasgow Lions and I have just received my own team. I have a lot of holes to fill currently, but I'm working very hard to put a great team on the field for season 5. Getting to the point, I want to extend an offer to anyone who was on that team to come and join me in USA BBB and play on the Compton Colt .45s. All I ask is that you contact me as soon as possible so that we can work out the specifics. I promise that I am a fair, hard working owner, you can ask anyone on Glasgow and I think (fingers crossed) they will back me up. I plan on running a very active forum with great owners. If you're looking for your next home please consider me. Thank you. If anyone on Marseille sees this, can you post it on your team forums?

Was shocked and saddened to see Marseille go to CPU. Was a huge surprise for a team that has been competitive from day one.

I entirely understand if players decide to move on and take up offers like the one above but could I encourage you to hang in there. A team where everyone leaves will struggle through next season and be the whipping boys in our league probably meaning that the next owner won't stay too long. It's a vicious cycle!

Good point. As tempting as it is to chase the ambulance, it would be better for the league if the team stayed competitive.

Of course if a contract runs out and there isn't an owner or GM to renew it, well...the player has to go somewhere. Like, say...I don't know...a team that's won 6 of its last 7 en route to the playoffs?

As a former part of Catcher's D-line, though I hope to see the team up and running, I must say that if you choose to join him you have not made a mistake.

Stick with it Marseille if you can. Its always a tricky time when an owner turns over (which is why I'll be the last one out at Bow) but hopefully the team can survive given its a founding member of this league.

good for you.....i would hate to see a team disappear because of that......is he going to change the name of the team?

Good to hear the AArgos (or whatever they become) will be with us next year. I hope thei players will stay loyal, if that is what the new owner wants (and why wouldn't he?)

More than a few key players are agented (is that the right way to describe it?) by the previous owner so I don't know what this team will look like. I'm hoping the new owner has better luck getting FAs then we did before, that depth problem really killed in more games than I would like, esp near the end of the season.

I gotta say it is nice to see support for us, even tho were one of the quieter teams in these forums. Maybe we start changing that too

we feel your pain getting free agents is about as easy as creating a diamond from a charcoal briquette and about as pleasant as a urethral swabbing.

Judging by the new owners' activity on the forums, I would say more than a handful of yall have asked to be released. My offer still stands, you will not go needing if you come to my team.

Hey I'm the new owner of the team in question. Haha nice to see someone gets the reference to the name! I changed it as part of a new beginning, and honestly what could intimidate you more than a giant worm capable of destroying entire cities?

I've got no plans of gutting this team. The previous owner has 13 of the best players leaving because they belonged to him, but I'm making an effort to resign everyone willing to come back and recruit strong guys to replace him. He left me in a bad financial situation so it's been hard but support was nice enough to give me a boost of 600k when I started with 130k.

The only way we won't compete is if my guys don't want to resign, if they don't I'm working hard to find new guys to build around. This team is playing to win each week.

PS: LOL at my activity on the forums being low. I mostly post in newb threads to help them and the WR forum. For recruiting I've been mostly using the marketplace. I'm on GLB usually 6+ hours a day when possible just posting and looking around.

I like to think I'm nice enough, I mean I try to be. I hope my last comment didn't come off bad either....I just think it's dumb to judge a new owner by where he has posted or how much you have seen him around.

I hope everyone here has a great season, except when they play us!
