No one made a thread for this yet so I figured I would. Playoffs are less than a day away and something tells me this season will have even more upsets than past years.

vs.
8. West Country Wyverns

Last meeting - @Toulouse, Toulouse wins 52-14: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88298

3. Eurotrash Rabid Bats
vs.
6. Armagh Rally

4. Manchester Mob
vs.
5. Whitechapel Rippers

Last meeting - @Whitechapel, Manchester wins 30-7: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88387

Zeta

1. Inverness Highlanders
vs.
8. Stockholm Syndrome

Last meeting - @Stockholm, Inverness wins 24-7: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88420

2. Berlin Ballers
vs.
7. Dublin Dragoons

Last meeting - @Dublin, Berlin wins 31-6: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88487

3. Birmingham Cardinals
vs.
6. Dallas Browns

Last meeting - @Birmingham, Dallas wins 24-23: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88467

4. Italian Stallions
vs.
5. Aarhus Stingers

Last meeting - @Italian, Italian wins 19-3: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=88480

Surprisingly most of the first round matchups featured the lower seeded team getting blown out in the first game. But I think this time around, at least one of the teams who got blown out will pull out an upset. Dallas/Birmingham and Italian/Aarhus should be intense games, and both of the other games in Zeta aren't exactly locks either.

Euro has a tough road to the alpha finals. Somehow we got armagh, and if we get past them we get our nemesis Toulouse. Anyway, whoever comes out or alpha this season will be tough to beat in the championship.

I hate to say this as it makes me sound bias but not really since I own a player on Toulouse in Alpha but the top 8 in Zeta are stronger than the top 8 in Alpha as last season I would say hands down that Alpha was stronger than Zeta. Either way this is by far the toughest league in GLB and could easily produce in the PRO league.

I don't know about all of us being successful in the pro league, but some of us would hold our own. I know we scrimmaged a top Canada Pro team which is considered the second best league in the game and were somewhat competitive but got pretty soundly beaten.

But our remaining guys are boosted now, including the rest of my guys. I'm hoping waiting on boosting some of them pays off in these playoffs. I think our offense will be much improved.

could you just lower Magnus's instead of boosting him?

Haha, well I thought about it, but then I saw your avatar. I'm one of the bigger OSU fans out there so Magnus may actually take that as inspiration to play a little harder if we wind up facing each other again.

I'm telling you guys though, watch out for this guy: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=171361

We made him basically the same as Magnus but without a couple of the early mistakes I made with him. And seemingly overnight he got better physical stats than him. He's going to be a huge threat in these playoffs and he's ready to take over as the elite DE.

People need to start posting more! It's the playoffs baby!

With all due respect Drachir Bonn handled both the Cardinals and Berlin in scrimmages this year...perhaps you guys wern't taking it seriously...of course a lot of games have passed since then...and there has been some boosting obviously..if we are lucky enough to make it through teams like eurotrash or Toulouse I won't be afraid of anything zeta throws our way...Bring it

good luck to all in the playoffs and menamino thanks for starting this thread

Yeah, thanks for starting the thread. I've been a little busier than usual lately. In any case, just focused on trying to beat West Country today. We've had their number lately and hopefully for us that continues.

I think WEAA1 is good , but it has certainly been a little diluted over the seasons. I think the original league was certainly very good and could many of those teams could and some are competing quite nicely in Pro leagues.

As for Alpha playoffs, I think we'll beat WCW and I think Euro and Toulouse will advance. What I'm most interested in seeing is the Whitechapel Manchester game.

Well, show us the builds and let us decide if he compares to Magnus or not. I think it's only fair.

I think the same. Only 2-3 teams by conf can compete on PRO league for now. That was half 2 seasons before

Really good game Dublin. You had a really good gameplan on defense, and both of our running backs fumbling away probable touchdown drives kept it close. You were in it til the very end, and you guys don't have far to go to be a really great team next year.
