Sorry I missed last week's rankings. I was too excited about the college football season starting, then had my excitement squashed by crushing defeat. So this is the first time I've wanted to have anything to do with football, real or fake. Enjoy!

1. Edinburgh Black Knights (15-0) (Last: 1 Best: 1)
Cruising into the #1 seed, but can’t fall asleep on the competition as they did last year. They’re eagerly waiting to see who locks up that #8 seed.

2. Icelandic Vikings (12-3) (Last: 4 Best: 2)
It’s no shock that the team with 441 more pancakes than the next team should be doing so well. It’s also no shock that they come into their game with the Wolverines as the underdog, but if they can pull one out, they’ll clinch the #2 seed. If not, they should still get the #3 seed and will avoid a potential second-round matchup with the undefeated Black Knights.

3. Glasgow Tigers (12-3) (Last: 3 Best: 2)
Despite dropping two of their last three in a key stretch for the Tigers, they should lock up the #2 seed and back into the playoffs. Still, their three losses have come in their three toughest games. Their consistency will have earned them their higher seed than Tilburg and Iceland.

4. Tilburg Power (11-4) (Last: 2 Best: 2)
Dropped a game to the Hoods, who are better than their record, and that fight for the #2 seed is a thing of the past. They’ll face an Alpha punching bag this week, and will go into the playoffs a solid #4 seed.

5. Schiffertown Griffin’s (11-4) (Last: 5 Best: 2)
If they can beat the Punks, and the Vikes lose to WYW, they’ll force a 3-way tie situation that will be decided by points scored. Unfortunately, their 522 points currently trails Iceland (595) and Tilburg (544). So win or lose, they’re probably stuck there in 5th, and look to avenge their early season loss to Tilburg, 24-14.

6. Middlesbrough Mayhem (10-5) (Last: 6 Best: 5)
The Kardiac Kids strike again, this time against Milan. If they beat the Irish Car Bombs this week, they’ll own the #6 seed and barring an upset will likely face the Vikings. If they lose, Trillville owns the tiebreaker and a middle-of-the-pack Dusseldorf is all that’s keeping the Hoods from overtaking the Mayhem.

7. Trillville Hoods (9-6) (Last: 9 Best: 3)
A few short weeks ago the train looked to be coming off the tracks, but a huge win over Tilburg is just what they needed to get back into the race. They can’t take Dusseldorf lightly, because a loss here could knock them right back out of the playoffs.

8. Milan Cock Fighters (8-6-1) (Last: 7 Best: 3)
Milan is limping into their matchup with the Wailers, having lost 4 of their last 5. Still, a Milan win or a Bonn loss would clinch the last playoff seed for them, and Bonn faces a potent Newcastle team. I think they’d like to control their own destiny though, so I’m sure they’re busy planning for Donegal.

9. Bonn Jovi (8-7) (Last: 8 Best: 3)
Bonn has really faded down the stretch, having dropped 4 of 6, with one of their wins against 1-15 Las Vegas. Still, they’ve got a glimmer of hope to make the playoffs. All they need is to beat Alpha’s #4 team. Then they’ll need Milan to falter against Alpha’s #9 team, or for Trillville to lose to Alpha’s #11 team. It’s not the greatest of scenarios, but it’s the only chance they’ve got at this point.

10. Jamaica Rumrunners (7-8) (Last: 10 Best: 10)
Mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, but remember a season ago when they were every team’s guaranteed win? Those days are long gone.

11. Oakton Huskies (5-10) (Last: 11 Best: 3)
All they can do is try to pick up the pieces from this season, because the player market is tough, and they need some players. Preferably ones that aren’t inactive.

12. Belfast Shamrocks (4-11) (Last: 12 Best: 11)
Lot of “coulda, woulda, shoulda” this season for the Shamrocks. They played even the best teams down to the wire, but found themselves on the losing end a few too many times.

13. Frankfurt Universe (4-10-1) (Last: 13 Best: 6)
The season for the Universe is at an end. They’ll finish their spectacular destruction this week, then start the whole process all over again next season.

14. South Beach Sharks (2-13) (Last: 14 Best: 13)
In a cruel twist of fate, the Sharks, who have arguably had the most frustrating season of any team in the conference, face the Brussels Raiders to end the season. I’m pretty sure they stopped looking at the scoreboard three weeks ago..

15. Las Vegas Lunatics (1-14) (Last: 16 Best: 15)
The Lunatics notched their first and only win of the season against Chaos. Not that it matters, really. I think their goal for next season is to lose less than 15 games. Hopefully that’s not setting the bar too high.

16. Chaos Engine (0-15) (Last: 15 Best: 11)
Probably the saddest thing that can happen to a team is to be blown out by a 0-13 team. They have the slightest chance of redemption this week against 2-13 Mokum, but the Lions have (2 x ∞)% more wins than Chaos at this point. That’s such a ridiculous percentage, it’s not even a valid mathematical term.

Good luck against WYW. If you lose there's actually a slight chance we'll see you in the second round, but it's predicated upon Schiffertown beating Boston (possible, but not likely) and Tilburg scoring 50 more points against Portugal than Iceland scores against WYW (also unlikely, since despite their record Portugal has only given up 50 points 3 times this year).

I, for one, hope we don't face you at all. Yours was the only offense that really gave us fits this season.

I'm DC for the Icelandic Vikings, but I haven't posted much on the league forum. I've enjoyed your rankings driftin. Great job on them this season!

No problem .

Credit should go to HipHopopotamus too. I set up the AI, but he's been doing the game planning the last couple of games since I've been busy with the gutted team I got earlier this season. I hope to see Edinburgh in the playoffs (hopefully we won't give up 62 points this time! lol)

I hope to see them too. If I think they do what they think they do, then we will do what they dont want us to do, and then all they have is a lot of doo doo.

No just kidding. I have really enjoyed the ability to utilize the AI in this game. I use to help coach (defense) JV football for the local high school so I know a lot about match-up's and schemes, and how to manipulate a teams chemistry to hopefully work out to your advantage. Obviously, this is a video game and not real life, but most of the general concepts for how to use different formations is key. I really hope bort implaments a way to change your advance settings during a game, then we got something really nasty I do want to thank sry for putting together such a well-rounded team to work with, and the boys mostly for having such solid builds. If not this year, we have a team to do a lot of damage next year defensivly. That is of course, if the boys will have me as the D-coord

Hey I am the owner of Chaos Engine and I got the team in mid season. It was a wreck, well we lost every game. So my question is, do we get demoted? And if so where? I was just wondering so I can start planning what type of players I need to be aiming for. Thank you in advance.

Unless Bort creates a W Europe BBB league, you won't get demoted.
