Okay after a short hiatus from this stuff, I am out to predict some of the tilts in this crucial stretch of games.

First the east

Massacre/Vermont - Wow, is this one interesting. Both teams NEED this one for similar reasons. The Massacre are one of the teams in the east that nobody can afford to take lightly and with a recent upset loss for Vermont, the Massacre have to feel they have a legit shot at getting a win. In the end I'm going to take the Ice Storm to hang onto a tight victory here.

Marauders/Baltimore - the Marauders must be relieved to see the teams they're battling with in tough games this week while they get an easy draw in their 2nd last game. There's no way they lose this one.

The Brah/Pigskins - The Brah are caught between Voltron, which near as I can tell has no gin in it and blowing it up for Level 1's who will rule the world in about 5 weeks time from now. In spite of a dire need for psychiatric help, I'm still picking NOLA.

Rhode Island/Reamstown - Rhode Island are licking their wounds after their last game. What a heartbreaker that must have been. The Ramrods with a win here move into a tie with RI, so it's one of those 4 point games. I'll take the Ramrods in another close, epic battle. Let's lower the price of the regular beer so the true hardcore football fans can get hammered and enjoy it.

Nasville/Bowdoin - Nashville is playing great ball of late as they're now 6 games over 500 with the help of their current 6 game winning streak and that streak continues here in a 10 point decision.

NY/Montana - the Grizz will not be able to provide enough resistance to keep this one close. Strikers in a romp.

Detroit/Highwaymen - My upset special. No dumbass, I'm not picking the Highwaymen to win...I'm just upset that I have nothing witty to say here in another blowout.

Cleveland/Georgia - This will be a classic battle for the ages with Cleveland winning it on a safety in double overtime.

And now the west

Waller/Orlando - the Doggies have had a good season circle the bowl in the past few tilts and the Waller Knights will be the ones who come in and "jiggle the flusher" to finish flushing their season down the shitter.

Lemurs/Florida - this one promises to be an outstanding game. Obviously we have a lot on the line for both teams here. Both teams are coming into this one after virtual bye weeks last game...but I have to give a very slight edge to Florida who have a way of rising up to the challenge in these pivotal games...that said they also have a way of shitting the bed when you think you have them figured out so please, no wagering.

Vegas/Seattle - glad to see Vegas is starting to make me look good when many, many games ago I was telling...warning...the league that once these guys got going they'll do some major damage. They're now making good on that prediction and the only question here is when I talk about Vegas, should I talk of them in plural or singular form? Criminals in a romp.

Austin/Indiana - After losing their last game to a team filled with good looking dudes who nail nothing but the hottest ladies while smoking the finest herb and drinking whatever is in front of them, Austin gets to take their anger out on the red-headed stepchild of the division.

Phoenix/Tampa - The Elves are fighting for their playoff lives and this game is more than welcome on the schedule here as the Elves are too good to stumble in a key game like this.

Sharks/Oakland - The Sharks are still alive, but on life support, to make playoffs. This one will at least prevent them from flat-lining for another game at least.

Tucson/Green Bay - Tucson is one of those teams that is probably very close to turning the corner to being a playoff team next season. A solid win here will help them start to gain that confidence they'll need to make that step next season.

Shriners/Putnam - This is a battle for 2nd place in the West. At least 2nd place for a week. I won't pick my own game again, but I should insert some sort of sports cliche before I wrap this one up....both teams will be out there to fight with their backs to the wall and be ready to leave it all on the field while giving 110%.

I have to say, it is always a pleasure reading your predictions Griz, great job and keep it up!

And yes, we have an easy game this week well others have harder ones, but that picture is a total reversal next game as we play Waller and many of the others have cruise games. So it evens out in the end.

Chuckle, I gotta admit. We need to do something to move out of the second seed. I really don't want to play the Strikers in the first round. Not that they really make me nervous because they are playing lights out right now or anything like that....

Still trying to convince Waller to gut before that last game....

Damn...

We had a good close hard fought game against the Strikers but fell a little short in the end. Now we need some luck in order to keep a Top 4 spot and an home playoff game.

You guys have made some major strides this season Derkin, but our stadium is screaming for a RI loss in at least one of these last two games

Smilies, Ramroads and Strikers are all screaming for us to lose LOL. We can easily drop from #4 to #7 for the playoffs as it could end up in a 4 way tie.

We are hoping for a few upsets this week too in order to help our cause.

Either way its been a good season so far and we are hoping to make some noise in the playoffs
