The owners should get together and decide how awards will be handed out. There is only 4 days left.

WTF? Was that sarcasm? I cannot tell your voice inflection so I don't know how to answer that one...

It's really hard to tell what player is the best at whatever position. Team record should come into play.
An MVP has never been on a losing team. Why don't we come up with some ground rules for how we will choose the MVPs.
Feel free to add to this list:

1. Must be on a winning team.

2. ??

3. ??

this is going to take a while... for starters we can't exactly know since it's hard to watch all the play by play so I'm going for statistics

Maybe stats vs. playoff teams? I think it'd be a pain to research, but people could list the nominee's stats vs. the playoff teams when making the nomination.

I also think nominees should come from playoff teams, or at least the top 10 teams.

taking into account just stats against playoff teams is not a good idea IMHO. not that my player doesnt have great stats vs good teams, because he does, its just basically saying what the player does to help his team win against non playoff teams doesnt matter. Which is absurb since wins and losses count the same when playing those teams. Again not cutting you down in anyway, just stating a fact.

This is the same path we took last time... People complained stats were unbalanced and didnt represent skill... Maybe a RB was better but since another RB got 100 more carries he got 40 more yards

we could just let the people who get the stats get the game made awards.

how about this

32 teams

22 player positions
1 offense
1 defense
1 special team
1 coach
1 d MVP
1 o MVP and typically also the league MVP

right?

thats 28 things that need deciding

so assign 1 award to each head coach and that coach can take his time, awards dont have to be handed out until the Superbowl gala

bottom 2 teams in each conference dont get to award

thats very smart oso
and we would have to rely on unbiased decisions and participation
but i hope we can get that

how about one nominates someone in their respective positions and the one who nominates that certain person in their position must discuss why and it wouldn't hurt to show some highlight of his career in this season like how did he do in that single play and etc

sounds good. Maybe have an overall trusted owner who sits as the committee chair to make sure all awards are fair. Like having the final say. Or at least another owner has to second the award choice
