Thought I'd check here before expanding this to the main Africa forum, then out into GLB. Just got my Madden 09 yesterday, and wanted to see if anyone was going to be doing an online league anytime soon...I guess I'm not sure how those work so maybe this is pointless, but just in case PM me or post here or something if you're at least interested in playing on Live.

Well might have to pick up Madden this year. Have not in the past couple of years always get NCAA but with you there I will consider. Will PM you if I do.

Sounds great techie, I've really been enjoying it so far...the camera angle is even a little different this time around, and I think it's made things more enjoyable surprisingly. The adaptive AI is really cool too

I'll be down for it as as soon as Xbox sends me back my bloody 360. I got the red light of death for the 2nd time 2 weeks or so ago. They fixing it again.

By the way Fredex, you'll love it...way more challenging to me personally than the Madden series has ever been.

I've played a few games on the PS3... lost the first when my game winning FG hit the sidebar, then won the second. It seemed to run a lot smoother than previous Maddens, and it's harder to exploit the AI.

Oh yea I agree...when you first put the game in (not sure if you experienced that on the PS3) they put you through the Madden Test. You basically run a bunch of pass, rush, pass D, rush D scenarios that they tally up a score on and give you a custom tailored AI setting for each of those 4 game components (was disappointed to see no spec. teams component) and so you dont really have one single difficulty. You are then issued a Madden IQ score that adjusts all of the time, even during games. And the opponent AI responds accordingly. Rivalry games (so for me playing as GB - Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit) the AI settings are even higher.

I'm currently 4-2 in my franchise, it's been a rough adjustment not having Favre's cannon arm to thread needles with. Had way too many INTs that w/ Favre's throwing power would've been through the defense into the receiver's hands. I want to trade for him back but that wouldn't really be legit, so I'm skipping on that for this first season. Second time around on the franchise I'm grabbing Favre AND D. Hester from the Bears, lol.

Gamer tag is the same as GLB name. Play Madden and COD4 all the time.

Madden is cool this year, better than last. But Head Coach is THE GAME. Go ahead and pick up XX Aniv. Ed. of Madden or the game itself.

Anyway, i'm playing on PS3 so can't join this league...
