Question - If you select a random run as your output for a rushing play, does it then default to your basic settings for inside/outside rushing%?

Basic run settings, IIRC.

In Goalline double tight offense how do get it to throw instead of run all the time?

You don't, it's always a run. Yes, it would be nice if we could pass. Maybe some day.

Is there any way to control what formations you use? I know choosing more long passes uses more 3 receiver sets, and I also heard using more short passes uses more 2 TE formation.

Is there any way to control other formations?

Not really. I'm hopeful the OAI will be as in-depth as the DAI next season. I'm really looking forward to being able to dictate the specifics of what I want to do on offense. Well, from a personnel package standpoint anyway.

Using goal line will use a 3 TE formation and if you use punt the punter will come in. It's really fascinating!

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Serious answer, other than what you already mentioned I haven't seen anything that is identifiable and I've probably tested every possible type of setting there is on the offensive AI.

I couldn't find this anywhere, but I have to imagine it's in one of the guides and I just missed it:

If I set my output percentages to less than 100%, will it just pull from my basic options for the remainder? E.g., if I set "3rd and short" to 50% "Run inside," and don't specify any other outputs, will the AI run inside 100% of the time, or run inside 50% of the time and then follow basic settings for the other 50%?

I don't know for sure, but it says on the offensive AI page that outputs that don't add up to 100% will be automatically adjusted at gametime. So I think if you just have one output at 50%, it will adjust it to 100% at gametime.

Thanks. I actually wanted to default it to my regular settings when it didn't match my specific point, but I ended up just putting a 50% "Default" play that just had "use basic settings" for every field.

Have a few questions:

Can you run out of a spread (3/4-wide) formation?

Can you pass out of goalline?

Can you have 3 rushers on the field at once (2HB/1FB or vice versa)?

What good is distance on running plays?

Does distance control how many WRs are in the formation?

Only a left pitch runs out of a 3-wide formation, no 4-wide formations

Can you pass out of goalline?
no

Can you have 3 rushers on the field at once (2HB/1FB or vice versa)?
only if you count the QB

What good is distance on running plays?
has no effect

5-wide is more common out of a long pass, 3-wide are common on both short and medium. There are trends, but little control

Good question. It would seem that he is saying it has no effect on the play call, but it does on the WR's on the field.

I don't know, but I would sure like to know.
