I added a little something something to the preds, songs that I thought fit the game, not musically by any means, but by lyrics and or title alone. Go to www.projectplaylist.com to listen to the songs if you don't know them. I would post links to them all individually, but not sure if that is illegal or not. Try to figure out why the songs got picked, and waste some time like I did!!! It's like a game within a game!!!

*Game of the Week* Somalia Wasps vs. Nigeria Nightmares

This matchup should prove to be a very tough challenge for both teams. Somalia has been dominating for two seasons now, and Nigeria has proven a worthy advisary to the AAA#1. However, Nigeria’s two losses have been to two of the league’s elite in the Marvins and Night Riders. If those two teams proved too much, then so will the Wasps. GG expected, but Somalia takes the win.

Somalia’s game song: Joe Esposito – You’re the Best Around
Nigeria’s game song: Adam and the Ants – Room at the Top

Kalahari Night Riders vs. Uganda Silverbacks
Kalahari is a steam roller, until they meet their arch rivals the Wasps. Uganda has now lost 8 in a row in a very disappointing season that includes wins against the cupcakes only so far. Kalhari should dominate once again and take the win.

Kalahari’s game song: Flock of Seagulls – I Ran (So Far Away)
Uganda’s game song: Public Enemy – Fight the Power

Ethiopian Starvin Marvins vs. Sahara Death Stalkers
The Marvins are having a great season, with just a few speedbumps (Cough Fort Wayne Cough). Sahara unfortunately will not be one of those speedbumps, they will be more like a speedy carpool lane until they hit the possible traffic jam next week in the Wasps. Marvins by a ton in this game.

Ethiopia’s game song: Angels & Airwaves – Good Day
Sahara’s game song: John Lennon – Give Peace a Chance

Zimbabwe Beavers vs. Sahara ShadowChasers
This is a tough one, the Beavers have rolled most of the season, winning some tough ones (Wasps), and losing some tough ones (Marvins, Night Riders and Nightmares). Sahara has lost to the same teams, with the addition of the Wasps and, a shock to some, the Outlaws. Beavers I think will take this one, but it will be very hard fought and close.

Zimbabwe’s game song: Anthrax – Caught in a Mosh
Sahara’s game song: Anthrax – Caught in a Mosh

Fort Wayne Generals vs. Malagasy Bushmen
Not going to pick a winner to stay unbiased. Good luck to the Bushmen. Love the logo
Fort Wayne’s game song: Not picking one
Malagasy’s game song: Not picking one

Madagascar Outlaws vs. Egypt Empire
Well I know who I want to win (Go Egypt) to help keep our playoff hopes alive. However, I know who I think will win (Go Madagascar). Egypt will definitely show up to fight in this one, but the Outlaws will squeek out the win just to punish the Generals and setup what could be our playoff deciding game next week.

Madagascar’s game song: Queen and David Bowie – Under Pressure
Egypt’s game song: The Beatles – Tomorrow Never Knows

Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion vs. Arhus Medisterpoiser
Zimbabwe is having a rough season, and yet has a very good chance of squeeking into the playoffs. With two cupcake games in a row, it looks like their playoff chances just may rest on how they do with Mozambique. Just don’t fall asleep at the wheel Squirrels, Arhus and South Africa still have upsets in their minds. Squirrels win.

Zimbabwe’s game song: The Animals – House of the Rising Sun
Arhus’ game song: Beck – Lost Cause

African Killer Frogs vs. South African Bulls
Another Toughie since the Frogs are up and down all season and the Bulls have just hit a hard road. They are evenly matched on paper, but with wins over the Squirrels, and a ripping of the Meadowposers last game should bring the motivation needed to pull ahead. Frogs win.

Africa’s game song: Slipknot – Left Behind
South Africa’s game song: The Black Dahlia Murder – What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse

Haha! Love the songs! I actually think Sahara is going to pull an upset on Zimbabwe though honestly I hope they don't because I need the Beavers to be in top form so they can beat the Jinx in their final game.

I encourage all teams to play their songs over and over again just before the sim to influence victory!

On my team in Canada A, we were rocking http://www.chargers.com/assets/002/11568.mp3 all night!

We were just trying to help you guys feel better about yourselves.

EDIT: Nice predictions, love the added song selections. I'm just glad somebody is doing these for the Lion Conference again.

Well thanks, last season the Squirrels gave us our boost. I will say this, I don't want a rematch in the playoffs.

Marvins dont want a rematch either after what happened last season. We have had their number in the regular season but that first round exit sure was embarassing last season. Elephant is definately more competitive top to bottom... but Lion has its share of quality teams as well.

I have to agree with you here... But like you said, Lion has some great teams. The championship is going to be totally up for grabs.

Yes, I would say the Elephant's #6-13 are far superior to the Lions but the top 5 in Lion might actually be better. They definitely pass more over there in the Lion conference.
