Warrior General Games

As we roll towards the end of the season, there is still a lot of possible movement in the standings. Towards that end, the most interesting games this week are:

1. The Tsunamis vs. the Buzzards (which, if everything stays the same, would be one of the first round playoff matchups).

2. The Razorbacks vs. the Bucks (F'ville is trying to make an unlikely late charge for the two seed, or at least hold onto the 3, while the Bucks are in a fight for their playoff lives).

3. The Titans vs. the Hellfighters (the Hellfighters are currently in a tie for the last playoff seed, but likely need wins over the Titans and Tsunamis to get there; the Titans are fighting for a home playoff game, and a possible 2 seed if the Tsunamis falter).

The rest of the games are mostly higher seeds against lower seeds.

The Razorbacks need too much help to get the #2. The #3 is in our sights. We just have to take care of business.

The hellfighters will be giving it their all tomorrow. I am very pleased at the way we have played. Granted we beat lower leveled teams, but last season we couldn't beat anyone

good luck to the Hellfighters, you've got the toughest end of schedule of the teams fighting for 8th.

The Fishermen seem to have the inside track to the 8th spot, as they have the cupcakes and then a good alpha match-up in the last week.

The Bucks definitely need the win against the R'backs, otherwise they have to win in the last game against the Tiger Snakes.

thanks. If my team would just stay active and get their tactics set we'd be in better shape. Our offense rolls, but defense needs a little leveling

no he was saying it was the Tsunamis, they are garbage, no point in even game planning for them.....everyone should just punt every down and give them a chance.

Ok to defend we who have been quiet this season. Does it count as a defence when we havent been attacked? Ohh well anyway the Bucks.

Tomorrow is yeah pretty huge for us. Weve lost two games this year we really for all intents and purposes should have won (OK the last game would have been an upset but two dropped passes in the endzone? The Hellfighters game as well) with which wed be sitting in a good place. We had a horrendous start to the season where we basically thought we could play an effective zone defence and well yeah that was my fault as DC.

The turn around since going 0-4 has been massive. Weve had two games where weve been heavily outlevelled (not out barred I dont look at that shit) and the games against the bottom teams. Our offence has been outstanding helped by the fact that our TE is the best receiver of any kind in the league and we have two QBs nominated for the Pro Bowl. In games weve lost (such as the Bulls) weve at least put up a fight. I think we will make the playoffs. Well we sort of better or I might lose my GM position....

Anyway tomorrow should be an awesome game. Hopefully we pull off the upset of the season and guarantee our playoff place. If not the offseason is coming and Im sure myself and the Triceratops guys can start fighting over pointless shit again this year the same as last.

Emp, I don't think anyone who has played you would count you out. Both you and Manila are awfully tough for potential 8 seeds, and it's a shame that it looks like one of you will miss out on the playoffs.

I dont know about Manilla but certainly with ourselves we shot ourselves in the foot in that opening four week stretch. Our tactics were kind of naive - we switched to the 3-4 assuming it would make zone D easier when its still kind of broke.

Its going to be shit for one of us especially if its them after the match between the two of us. That under two minute drill our offence pulled against the Fisherman could decide the final playoff place.

oh yea, i guess we can say our goodbyes to Venom and Phooeys now...they are outmatched for the remainder of their season and are in the bottom 2.

I thought we only lost one team in Zeta (as only one team gets promoted from Zeta).

Yeah, Phooeys will stick around... Venom will be gone, as will the Gobi Desert Wolves from Alpha.
