Im trying to wrap my head around this.
There was a lvl 12 with 80 speed 28 catching and 6 points in SA's.
He had full custom gear and all but that seems ridiculous to me.

Why is that out of the question? 15 start up points + 60 from SAs. Train it to 25, get to 48 by using 23 of the 75 points. Then 28 points to get it to 62 (gives you 24 points left overall). +8 for equipment, +5 for custom equipment puts it at 75. Plus natural level progression for a point here and there. Definitely possible while training catching.

You can train a player for 7 LVs without signing to a team. Thats around 90 days of training

It's not to hard. Good player builders can hit a soft cap every 4 levels. This guy has basically hit three soft caps (all in speed) and trained catching for a bit. No big deal.

Makes perfect sense - but he has nothing else in any of the other stats. A ton of speed and little to no Agility which means he probably runs routes like a laser pointer.

Not only that, but isn't there a thing where if your agility isn't X of your speed, that your speed is actually lower than listed, not just significantly hurt by the fact that you can't catch, run routes, or make any kind of a cut?

That WR is playing for one or two 70 yard TDs a year, and the rest of the time he's getting drop after drop after drop, when he can even get to a ball throw to him.

A QB can't throw more than 15-20 yards in the air in most cases, so unless he runs a fly, (which happens maybe 5-10 plays a game for him at best?) and then actually catches it (which is what, a 10% chance?)

The player is crap for 20 more levels until he catches up his agility, vision, catching, jumping, and stamina..and by then, he's got the same build as everyone else, heavier on speed than anything else and no stats or help to his teams along the way.

I doubt he'll invest in all 3 of vision, catching, and jumping. He'll probably sacrifice one to take agility beyond normal levels to go with his speed, and perhaps he'll pump First Step a lot (my WR is basically the same as this guy's at this point). I'd sacrifice the entire jumping attribute altogether. I don't know exactly how it works in this game but if I'm already building my player to get separation, I can live with a few balls thrown over my head if it means that I'll be open more often than not.
