A little later than usual, sorry for that. I'm sure you've all been clicking 'refresh' over & over in anticipation.
1. WYW - yours truly's disappointed they couldn't crack 100. Burgundy's a manchild.
2. Boston - Rome gave them a better game than expected; in the meat of their schedule & facing another tough test this week.
3. Brussels - rolled up almost 750 yds against the hapless Leprechauns, 477 of which was through the air. Only one, maybe two more tests. Could challenge for the #2 seed.
4. Newcastle - opportunistic D clamped down when necessary & handled the AFD w/ ease. Early season loss to the other Raiders will hurt their seeding. Big game looms Week 13.
5. Irish - fell victim to what may end up being the upset of the year. Dusseldorf conceded the run, pinned their ears back & went after Hollywood. Helluva game by Dusseldorf DE McMickmack.
6. Danzig - I continue to really like this team. They do everything well. Their schedule gets BRUTAL week 11 but looking good for the playoffs. If they return everybody they'll be a force in season 5.
7. Rome - hung w/ the Punks in the first game of the toughest part of their schedule. May end up around .500 but a playoff team for now.
8. Donegal - get a bump due to 2 game streak, which is soon to be 3. With their schedule, they could challenge for the last playoff spot.
9. AFD - blew chance after chance to convert in the red zone, although it would have only made the margin of loss smaller. Probably have the easiest schedule coming down the stretch of anybody & the game w/ Donegal week 13 may determine the 8th seed.
10. Plainview - should get back on the winning side of things this week. Drawing the Black Knights as your out of conference to end the season sucks a big fat one.
11. Dusseldorf - like I mentioned above, impressive win against the Car Bombs. That high chemistry number may be paying off. I think it's about time to get a logo though, eh?
12. Portugal - took care of business but up & down season continues. Nice game by HB Percy Small Engine.
13. Stockholm - 6 dropped in a row & morale's gotta be suffering. It's almost over though; and then you'll get to take out all your frustrations on Cologne.
14. Mokum - should get their second win by virtue of luckily drawing Chaos, Zeta's equally bad team.
15. Cologne - sad.
16. Dublin - high-water mark of the season was scoring 27 in a loss to Dusseldorf week 1. Been all downhill from there.
