I'm a big proponent of the new name.

Kudos

Damnit. . . . I need to get back down to Mad Bay to chase some bull reds.

On a side note, go figure that a bunch of pussy French couldn't hack it so the Krauts had to build the city up.

An amazing tragedy. I'd heard the story before but that video has some interesting things to consider. Imagine the settlers being confronted with a Cat 4 or Cat 5 hurricane with little or no warning. (Yes Mr. Gore, we had destructive hurricanes in the 1800s too). I was in Biloxi a week after Katrina and saw what that did to modern buildings and to people with plenty of warning. I just can't imagine what it must have been like in Indianola.

So in response, here's a video about the exciting metropolis that is Round Rock Texas

Wow that was dumb. all al gore said was, that the rise in temp is causing hurricanes to happen MORE OFTEN.

Science.... learn it.

Historically speaking, I'm more a fan of Ranger Ware than I am of Sam Bass. Now those were some folks you didn't want to mess with.

I'm not really trying to start a global warming debate here but what Mr. Gore said was in fact that the Hurricanes we were having were stronger and more destructive as a result of Man induced global warming. There's nothing really scientific about that statement. It's an opinion which can't be backed up. Science does not consist of building incomplete computer models based on 20 to 30 years of 'historical' data and then using that to project future events.

Especially when the hurricanes at the turn of the century 1900's were more powerful and frequent than anything we have seen in the last hundred years.

If I do recall, most of North America were covered in glaciers, Now 100 degrees are common, Now thats global warming. Must have been dinosaur farts.
