1. Niagara Nightmare (8-1)
Previous: 2 High: 1 Low: 2
The Nightmare reclaim the number one spot with a tight win over Shilo. Niagara has started to balance out their offense somewhat but they are still a run first team. And why not? The Koloksi and Cruiser combo is a helluva one-two punch. Barring an upset, they should cruise for a few weeks before the big show down with the Destroyers.

2. Calgary Destroyers (8-1)
Previous: 1 High: 1 Low: 2
The Destroyers knocked around an improving Chilliwack team and thoroughly dominated them defensively. Their defense probably has not received enough credit this year despite the fact they rank 4th against the pass and 2nd against the run. Have fun gameplanning Kelowna….

3. Kansas City Gorillas (8-1)
Previous: 3 High: 3 Low: 8
Rounding out the top three, the Gorillas stay at third. Beat a Thrasher team in a game that was closer than it looked. QB Tom Brady seems to be back in form however and completes damn near everything.

4. Unsavory Gentlemen (7-2)
Previous: 5 High: 4 Low: 10
They didn’t just beat the X-Men..they flat out beat ‘em up. RB Jason Dean was a monster as per usual and QB Gabe Dias was efficient, completing 80 per cent of his passes. No one wants to play these guys right now, even though their next two are against solid teams.

5. Shilo Silly Nannies (7-2)
Previous: 4 High: 5 Low: 7
Let the Nightmare squeek by them in a thriller. I think a lot of folks figured the Nannies would knock off both the powers. They’ll have a chance to recover against Prince George and Toronto.

6. Saskatoon Sasquatch (6-3)
Previous: 7 High: 5 Low: 11
Took out some aggression against Prince George and racked up 66 on the scoreboard. The Sasquatch has a rough back half of the year to deal with and will have to continue to pound out wins. If they try to coast, they’ll be home for the playoffs.

7. Saskatchewan Thrashers (5-4)
Previous: 7 High: 3 Low: 7
Thrashers played a good game against KC but Saskatchewan needs to show that they can beat the top teams if they want to assure themselves a postseason berth. A win against the UG coming up next would mean the world.

8. Genosha X-Men (5-4)
Previous: 6 High: 5 Low: 9
Just when it looks like they were coming around, the X get flat out pounded by the UG. The X-Men are such an up and down team that you never know what kind of game you’re in for. They’ll play spoiler for a few teams in the playoff run. They’re on a playoff bubble but their schedule is somewhat favourable so if they win where they should, they’ll be back in the postseason.

9. Kelowna Bulls (5-4)
Previous: 10 High: 3 Low: 11
The Bulls finished off the Hangmen 58-10 in the last stop of the powder puff tour but after 3 wins in a row, they face the brutal Niagara-Calgary back to back. Two losses in a row would severely hurt the Bulls push for the playoffs.

10. Chilliwack Care Bears (5-4)
Previous: 8 High: 6 Low: 11
The Care Bears couldn’t do much against Calgary, although their defence should be credited for a good showing. DE Penetrator is an elite DE that can collect sacks against all offensive lines…weird thing is that he’s not even the starter.

11. Manitoba Lions (4-5)
Previous: 11 High: 11 Low: 13
The Lions continue to improve, laying the smack down on Toronto. QB Rack Hound is likely the most underrated QB in the A5, with 13 TD tosses against just 2 INTs. A win against the X-Men in their next one would put the Lions in the position to make a playoff run. And believe it or not, I think it just might happen.

12. Alberta Irukandji (2-7)
Previous: 13 High: 11 Low: 15
A much needed W against the rebuilding Demos gives Alberta a bit of relief. I think their shootout with Northside up next could be dangerous for them however as they’re 23rd ranked pass defence will be sorely tested against Northside’s #2 passing offense.

13. Toronto Lockdowns (2-7)
Previous: 12 High: 9 Low: 13
They got run out of town by the Lions and now face a Sasquatch team that needs all available wins for a playoff run. Toronto doesn’t officially need to run the table to make playoffs quite yet, but its getting real close.

14. Prince George Warriors (0-9)
Previous: 14 High: 13 Low: 15
Believe it or not, the Warriors aren’t quite mathematically eliminated yet by my figuring but its close. Keep the faith Warriors…I think if you keep your team together and pick up a few FAs, you’ll be able to compete next year.

15. Fhockey.com Demos (Edmonton Beavers) (0-9)
Previous: 15 High: 14 Low: 16
They’re doing the best they can with what they have…Unfortunately, that’s not a lot. The Demos will have to make some serious moves in FA to swing in A5.

16. Northside Hangmen (0-9)
Previous: 16 High: 14 Low: 16
I’m running out of ways to make fun of the Hangmen’s defence. Thus this week I’ll keep it simple. The Hangmen’s defence sucks. I haven’t seen so much scoring in one place since I visited Joe Flacco’s mom’s place.

Nice to see Alberta moved up in the standings. We've been moving down each week. We're going for 2 in a row. I think we can win.

I'm predicting a W for you guys, it will be a high scoring affair though... I would guess the over under is somewhere around 70

Yeah from what I've heard from guys who have already played them they can easily score a lot of points, but so can you. I'm very confident in our defense. We also got a new WR so that will help us too.
