Team Name/Record/Prev Week/Comments
1) Saskatchewan Sasquatches/8-0/1
They just keep on winning, beating a good team by a very large margin
2) Queen City Black Cats/8-0/2
They didn't win big, but they got the job done. No one has shown they can slow down the running game much
3) Cheyenne Mountain Air Force/7-1/6
A huge win over Halifax propels this team back up the charts. Can the continue their success? Only loss was to #2 QC
4) Nebraska Husker Maniacs/7-1/5
They slowly keep climbing. The cupcakes are now over and it's time to get back to work for this team
5) Halifax Hashishim/7-1/3
First loss of the year drops them down a few spots. Still in contention for the title, though the schedule doesn't get much easier.
6) Sudbury Spartans/6-2/8
Tough loss to QC actually moves them up the rankings. Their losses were to #2 QC and #3 Cheyenne, and both games were close. They've beaten up on other good teams.
7) Vinland Vikings/6-2/4
The loss to the Warriors was a fluke. That game could be replayed ten times and probably wouldn't happen again…but it happened and that drops them down.
8) Vancouver Vindicators/7-1/9
I hear the cries now about being underrated and only moving up one spot. One quick look at the rosters of this team vs the ones above them, and how could you rank them higher?
9) Hillsburgh Hillbillies/7-1/10
W vs Manitoba shows they are for real, but they'll have to keep it up. Toughest part of the schedules is still yet to come.
10) Manitoba Icemen/5-3/7
They may have three losses, but look who they are against: #1 Sasquatches, #7 Vinland, and #9 Hillsburgh. That's 3 very good teams. They beat the teams they should, and lose to the teams they should.
11) Cold Lake Wolverines/6-2/11
None of the teams they've beaten were spectacular, although a few were solid. A blowout loss to the Sasquatches shows this team is a clear notch below the top competition
12) Montreal Canadiens/6-2/12
When this team loses, they lose bad. Good news is they beat the teams they should. They'll have to pull off an upset or two to host a playoff game.
13) St. John's Salty Dogs/4-4/13
Has lost to some very good teams, but looks like it is turning their season around. Can they continue though against some of the rest of the best teams?
14) Calgary Thunder/5-3/14
This is a quintessential middle of the pack team. They lose some, they win some. Nothing particularly fantastic or horrendous about their wins and losses
15) Red Deer Blue Elk/4-4/15
Although they have lost to some very good teams, they haven't exactly beaten anyone good either. They were expected to be a contender, but haven't shown up yet
16) Saskatchewan Beavers/4-4/17
All of a sudden this team looks a lot better. Might they be able to make a run during the second half of the season? They have talent
17) Winnipeg Warriors/3-5/19
Pulled off what was, up to this point in the season, the biggest upset. How do you explain some of their losses though? This team is very inconsistent
18) Saskatoon Guerillas/4-4/16
Hasn't beaten anyone special, or really even been real close with a top team. They do have some talent though
19) Calgary Wrestlers/4-4/18
This team will really have to fight to make the playoffs. I'm guessing they won't quite make it
20) In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy/2-6/22
A brutal schedule has this team in a bad spot, but they do have some talent and might pull off an upset.
21) Iqaluit Arctic Wolves/3-5/21
This is a team that is much like ISJ above them, but a very tough schedule has given them lots of losses. They'll probably finish short of the playoffs
22) Revelstoke Revolution/2-6/20
A one point win against Vancouver is the only thing they can hang their hat on. This is a team sliding fast
23) Destruction Bay Dragons/4-4/23
Sure, they may have more wins then Revelstoke, but who have they beat? A look at their rosters, and I'm guessing Revelstoke would win a game between the two.
24) Flint Tropics/3-5/24
Flint and Portsmouth are very similar teams, but a look at their almost identical schedules shows Flint is the better of the two
25) Portsmouth Cavaliers/3-5/25
I can't seem to figure out why they get trounced every week the way they do. They have better players in terms of level than their record would indicate.
26) Kelowna Outlaws/1-7/26
A sole win to Castlegar keeps this team from being winless.
27) Quebec Boreal/2-6/27
This team seems to have made some roster improvements, but it doesn't show in the score
28)Toronto Smoke/0-8/28
Another blowout loss, but they've still got some hope for future seasons
29) Castlegar Crusaders 0-8/29
This team has no hope
30) Barkmere Bulldawgs/0-8/30
At least they aren't the bottom of the conference
31) Bloodwesier Bugle All Stars/0-8/31
At least they aren't the Preachers
32) Peterborough Preachers/0-8/32
Let's see, my Grandma played a friendly against them. She ran the ball 12 times, all for TD's, and threw 18 times. Only seventeen went for TD's. Can this team stop anyone?
