Warrior General Games

ok i checked, and i can't see any other zeta thread.....got some interesting matchups this week, going to do a small writeup on how every team is doing....coming soon.

1) Singapore Bulls
Bulls are on a tear this season. Undefeated so far, they only have 2 more games I see them have a chance at losing (Red Bulls and Warriors). They may very well run the conference this season, I highly doubt that they will not be the #1 seed in Zeta even if they lose one.

2) Fayetteville Razorbacks
With only one loss this season and upset wins against the Red Bulls and Gangsters, they are looking like the team to beat for the rest of the teams of the schedule. Pretty big turnaround from last season, this team was a big surprise this season. They have the Titans and the Tsunamis that have the best chance at beating them, be on the look out for upsets from the Hellfighters and Bucks though. With only one loss so far, the chances of them being in the top 4 seeds is high.

3) Chiang Mai Gangsters
One of 5 teams that are 6-2. With a strong showing against the Titans, the Gangsters are looking to secure their spot in the top with the game against the Tsunamis. The game will play a big part in the rankings at the end of the season. The last tough game they have left after that are the Red Bulls. At most they will have 4 losses. The race to get to the #2-4 seeds is going to be hard, with 5 teams competing for the spots. It all depends how they do in those 2 games. The other games they should win, Buzzards have the best chance at pulling off a upset.

4) Semarang Red Bulls
Another 6-2 team, they had a couple of early losses that hurt them in the rankings. They have Delta Force in the cross conference game, which is going to be a hard game to win. Then they still have to play the Bulls and Gangsters. Fisherman might be able to pull off a upset too. They have to finish the season strong in order to make to the top 4 in the conference.

5) Thailand Titans
Titans have a very strong team, I personally thought they would beat the Gangsters, but goes to show that planning pays off. They somehow managed to be picked to play the Idols in the cross conference game, which might throw them out of the race to get to the top 4 at the end of the season. They still have to play Tsunamis and Razorbacks, with the Buzzards also being a tough game. Its going to hard to win all those games, especially the Lost City game. All depends how they do in those games, but I think they will make it in to the top 4.

6) Pacific Tsunamis
Obviously the best team in the league, but no one sees it yet. We still have to play a number of tough games, Gangsters tomorrow, Titans, and Buzzards are all going to hard to pull off the W. The Kraits are a OK team from Alpha, but I think we have the upper hand on that game. If we win Gangsters and Titans games, we will make it in the top 4.

7) Phnom Penh Buzzards
While a very good team, they still have to play 4/6 of the teams above them. 2/6 they have played, they lost. They will make in the playoffs, but probably as a #6-8 seed, unless they are able to get some upsets going their way. Gangsters, Razorbacks, Titans, Tsunamis, AND then they have to play the Firestorm in the cross conference game. 6-2 now, but I think they will have at least 3-4 more losses by the end of season. Will probably make it in the playoffs though, I would say they will be the #7 seed.

8) Tokyo Hellfighters
Currently 5-3, They have played mostly the bottom level teams…any team above them they have loss to. Still have to play Fisherman, Gangsters, Razorbacks, Titans and Tsunamis. Imo they are underdogs in all 5 of those games. Have yet to have a strong performance against a top team, we’ll see how they do in those games, going to competing for a #8 spot with the Fisherman and Bucks.

9) Haiphong Bucks
This team went downhill since last season where they able to secure a playoff spot no problem. This season, not looking so good. Going to be competing for the #8 spot, I don’t see them doing much better then that. Still has the Bulls, Fisherman, Gangsters to play, but the rest it looks like they will win.

10) Manilia Fisherman
This team is better then their records imo, they had some tough losses. They have 2 games where they will probably lose (Red Bulls, Bulls), but they got most of the tougher teams out of the way early. With the loss to the Buzzards, which basically threw them out of the running for a #6/7 seed. They are my pick of the teams to make it to the #8 seed. They still have a game against Bucks and Hellfighters, who are going for the same playoff spot. It will depend on those games.

11) Tapei Hurricane
Improved from last season, (went from cupcake to a decent team now), but still not quite enough to be considered a top team. Next season they will be a force if they keep it up. With 6 losses, it might be to late for them to be able to get to the playoffs, but the only really tough game for them is against the Red Bulls. If they hope to make it in the playoffs, they will have to win all those games until the Red Bull game and all the games after.

12) Borean Clouded Leopards
With a new owner, they are looking much better then last season/start of this season. A little too late, they already have lost 6, with 5 games I can only see them losing. They have Red Bulls, Titans, Tsunamis, Buzzards and Bulls. That’s 11 losses right there, and they are out of the playoff run. Unless they manage to pull off some crazy upsets, best for them to start building for next season.

13) Super Human Tetris Gods
Another team that improved from last season. They have a bunch of skilled players, but also have a lot of holes in their lineup filled with lower leveled guys. They still have the Bulls, Gangsters, Titans, Razorbacks and Fisherman, with the Fisherman game the best shot at pulling off a upset. Even then, they will still have 10 losses and they wont be in the playoff run.



14) Osaka Drunks
15) Hong Kong Phooeys
16) Van Alstyne Venom

Ok since I never ever see their GMs or Owners in the forums, im thinking they don’t really care and not going to bother to do a writeup for them. Basically they are competing who gets to be demoted (race to lose). If you are reading this, SPEAK UP. Tetris Gods are losing, but I still see Big C in here every once in a while. SuckaNut is losing their games and they are still in here (which is to bad). Point is, if your going to lose, at least be entertaining while doing it.

summary

What I see the Zeta Rankings will be thus far:

#1 Seed goes to Bulls
#2-#6: Tsunamis -Razorbacks -Titans -Gangsters -Red Bulls (in no order)
#7: Buzzards
#8: Either the -Hellfighters -Bucks -Fisherman

I agree that Laos, Phooeys and venoms players and owners should check in more! I try and air my thoughts out once in a while to threads i feel i can contribute too and are relevant too me (so about half the threads are off limits as they are about playoffs )

I think if we had not lost the last second KR return TD game and the other game that we lost by one point (which IMO we deserved to win) we might have had an outside shot at a run into the post season however i agree that it is time to build for next season now as i think venom and phooeys have pretty much sewn up those A spots for next season!

yea i should've mentioned you had a couple tough losses against the Hellfighters and Leopards. With 6 loses and the teams you have left to play, i dont think you'll be in playoffs this season. But this is a very tough conference, we have 5 teams going for the #2 seed alone.

The good thing is that you can treat the next games like scrimmages and mess around with tactics that you normally wouldn't do and figure out what works best for your team. With a few more players at certain positions, i can see you guys being a force next season.

Excellent write up. I am really excited about our game tomorrow. After the nail biter that the Titan game was, this should be fun.

actually only took about 20-30 minutes, im a fast typer. then just went through the teams one by one and looked at who they have left, typed in two or three sentences for each team and done. (in word each description was actually a max of two lines, they just looked longer in this forum)

i like how everyone in our conference has to play the Titans right before they play us, im hoping people spend on their energy for that game and get to tired to game plan for us. Either that or teams lose to the Titans and get motivated not to lose twice in a row so they spend extra time game planning against us.

Either way no one looks forward to playing us because it means they have to play the Titans right before.

Really is any given sunday between teams 2-7 in the conference. Really wouldn't be confident tipping the winner in any game between them.

Don't think we're too far ahead, maybe just the depth we've got gives us the edge.

Hats off to the Tsunami's for a great game plan. Holy shit your RDE owned us. 10 sacks against my ROT. Slick move you bastards. We'll see you again in the playoffs. LOL

Titans played a good game against us, congrats on the win guys, was a story of missed opportunities for us, but hey if u turn the ball over u get punished against quality opposition!!

Next up is another tough one for us!!

great game Gangsters, you guys have a very tough team...that 90+ yard TD really hurt....AK is BACK in the Sack RACE!!! lol, he is a great player but the biggest reason he got those sacks is because you guys never ran the ball once.....i did not plan for that, knew you guys didn't like to run but i was thinking like still do at least 20% run or so. Good thing is that our D was geared to stop the pass..figured you would try the same thing on us that you did the Titans.

GG Gangsters. Ak really had to prove himself in that game.
