There weren't any surprises this week, but many very good, well fought games.

In the Volunteer State bowl, Tennessee Fury managed to eek out a win against the Memphis River Rats. Fury started off with a bang, managing to get ahead 10-0 in their first two offensive drives. Memphis fought back and actually grabbed the lead in the early fourth quarter, taking advantage of four interceptions to keep the game close. In the end, Tennessee scored with six minutes remaining and team Fury killed the River Rats chances by ending their final two drives with turnovers.

Great game River Rats. From the first four plays, it looked like we had this one in the bag. You have a very good defense there, between your cornerbacks and defensive ends.

Other good games included the Fanboys against the Red Celtics. New Orleans won the game 21-17, managing to score a TD with only a minute remaining.

The Washington Slashers managed to defeat the Philly Wolves 29-27 by scoring 13 in the 4th quarter, kicking a field goal with 30 seconds remaining to win it.

Great game Fury!! I think we wore ourselves out trying to comeback and just hand on to the rock in the last 2 minutes to try to win with a FG. An instant classic for sure! Ya know, we used to win these close games, now we seem to be ending up on the wrong side of the tight games. Good luck the rest of the way guys, you have a very solid team...also confused me by passing so much Well planned.

great game Slashers; this was a hard-fought game that was decided with a last (30) second field goal. Props to you guys, and see you come playoff time!

Our passing game isn't as efficient as some, but its there.

We've definitely become "clutch" (I hate that term) this season. The Lizard Lickers, Red Celtics, and (now) River Rats games rank up there as some of the best games we've ever been in. Unfortunately, I think we're going to need more of those "clutch" plays over the remainder of the season.

34-14 is better than a whole lot of teams did before you, Sir Galahad. We'll see just how good Arlington is next week, when the East's two remaining unbeaten teams face off. You guys have a chance for a good second half. I know we're looking forward to our matchup with you guys, and given that you're sandwiched right between the Avengers and the Slashers on our schedule, it could be a perfect setup for Viridia.

Guess I'll post week 8 notes here.

Good game Fanboys. You had our number last season, so it was very nice to return the favor. You have a better team than your record and the 38-14 loss indicates. Now that you've played the top 3 teams, I'd say you have a fair chance to go 7-1 or 8-0 for the remaining part of the season. See you in the playoffs.
