There weren't any surprises this week, but many very good, well fought games.
In the Volunteer State bowl, Tennessee Fury managed to eek out a win against the Memphis River Rats. Fury started off with a bang, managing to get ahead 10-0 in their first two offensive drives. Memphis fought back and actually grabbed the lead in the early fourth quarter, taking advantage of four interceptions to keep the game close. In the end, Tennessee scored with six minutes remaining and team Fury killed the River Rats chances by ending their final two drives with turnovers.
Great game River Rats. From the first four plays, it looked like we had this one in the bag. You have a very good defense there, between your cornerbacks and defensive ends.
Other good games included the Fanboys against the Red Celtics. New Orleans won the game 21-17, managing to score a TD with only a minute remaining.
The Washington Slashers managed to defeat the Philly Wolves 29-27 by scoring 13 in the 4th quarter, kicking a field goal with 30 seconds remaining to win it.
