Mid point in the season and things get a little interesting as we've had a bunch of upsets around the league. You can't take anyone for granted anymore. Let's see what he have this week.
Gold Coast Corsairs 7-0 @ Congo Death 3-4
The final undefeated Elephant team here gets a Death team that seems to be hitting their stride. 3 wins in a row after a miserable start to the season and two over solid teams have them thinking playoffs. Things get a lot tougher here against the GC. The Death actually match up well and will hope for some Howard Duck miracles to bring them a W. In the end, they'll get some points, but the GC is just too much.

GOTW 1*Los Angeles eXtreme 6-1 @ Eaton Beavers 6-1
A big match up for these two teams as the winner owns 2nd place in the conference out right. Last season, Fiorentino and company shut down the Beavers offense in a 16-0 rout. This season, the Beavers look to get a little pay back and though they are still outleveled, the difference has come down significantly. Both teams only losses have come at the hands of very good teams, and that won't change for the loser in this game. The Beavers, especially, are looking for that marquee win to put them in the discussion of the top Elephant teams. Good luck LAX! <3
Russian Tractor 5-2 @ Somalia Wildcats 2-5
Wow, the downward spiral for the Wildcats continued with a loss to the Death last game. That all but eliminates them from any contention for the playoffs. At least one AA promotee has found AAA a little tougher. The Tractor look to put two solid wins together before they meet the Gold Coast in two games. They'll start here.

GOTW 2*San Dimas Saints 5-2 @ River Styx Jinx 4-3
The Jinx have yet to score that big victory to prove they are legit. With the Saints, Beavers and Corsairs over their next 3, they'll have ample opportunity. Should they sneak out with 2 wins, that would be huge...3 losses could be devastating. Both lost 17-14 to LAX in the past two weeks, but overall the Saints look slightly better on paper. Both teams are solid and well rounded, and the Jinx don't beat themselves with the conference's fewest missed tackles. They also don't create a ton of pressure and have a conference low 1 INT. They'll need some turnovers here to turn this game and I'm saying lady luck will be in their favor. Upset special here.
Jinx 24 Saints 23
High Plains Drifters 0-7 @ Morocco Camels 5-2
The Drifters can't catch a break. 4 turnovers did them in against the Malice today. On the other hand, the Camels are still recovering from a tough week getting clobbered by the Tractor (trust me we know how you feel) and losing to the Thundercats in a close one. On paper, the Drifters have some great talent but seem to always find a way to lose. Down the stretch, they could catch some luck and win 5 games still this season. Unfortunately, this won't be one of them.

New Jersey Blazes 1-6 @ African Killer Bees 4-3
Will the real Bees please stand up? The Bees get 3 games to fine tune their consistency before a brutal stretch against the eXtreme, Saints, Jinx, and Beavers. They can't afford a slip up in the next 3 games. The Blazes haven't won since opening day and it's been getting ugly with 40+ point losses in two of the last three games. The Bees can't take this too lightly, but they shouldn't have a problem.
Bees 38 Blazes 10
Chicago Wheelhouse 1-6 @ Mogadishu Malice 4-3
Can we possibly see a 5-3 Malice squad? Survey says...
yes!
Malice 24 Wheelhouse 17
Mozambique Thundercats 3-4 @ Lake M'Zumba Cannibals 0-7
Thundercats finally get a break on their schedule and could get on a mini-win streak starting here. Cannibals have fought fairly well but their low morale is probably starting to take a toll on the team's game play.
