Last week was yet another week of pure genius, going 14-2 and I'm now 85-11 (88.5%) for the season.


GAME OF THE WEEK

Springfield Isotopes vs Rome Raiders

This week's GotW puts the 3-3 record of Springfield against the 5-1 record of Rome. This one on paper looks to be a pretty even match if you throw out the records. Springfield started slow out the gate this season but have really picked it up since, beating three solid teams in a row. They lost last week, but that was to Sevastopol, who has beat everyone they've faced this season. Rome comes in with quite the impressive record with four quality wins against tough competition, and the only game they lost this season, was a Week 2 three-point thriller to Athens. I think Rome has a little more depth so they're getting the nod.

i like reading this stuff too, but i definitely think meat whistles vs wizards shoulda been the GOTW

Thanks for picking us for the GOTW Iggy. I wished we didn't get off to a slow start, our record really makes us look like a below tier team but that's okay too. I enjoy not having a target on our back at times. I believe the Raiders will be our toughest competition minus the Ferrymen towards the end of the season so I'm really looking forward to this game. I hope it's a close one to keep things exciting.

HOLY SHIT, anyone see that GOW? Easily the best 4th Quarter I've ever watched in GLB. The Anguish of defeat is only helped by the fact that we made you guys put on the show of your season. Picks, Sacks, 3-and-outs, we threw everything at you in the 4th quarter and your offense scores with a little over a minute remaining. Our offense marches to within field goal range only to miss a 43 yard attempt. AMAZING. Anyone wants to see a good game or even a great quarter watch the Isotopes v Raiders 4th Quarter.

If you guys kicked a chip shot your team would be up by 7. Instead you gave us the ball at our 4 yard line with nearly 5 minutes left and making us march down field to go up by 3 with 1 minute on the clock. Awesome game!

Man, the Wizards nearly pulled the upset. Their downfall was the Whistles catching them in Cover 0 for two long TD's. The SS decided to double cover the TE and let the WR run wild.

The SS is now being beat with a flog.

You got to be kidding me... My advanced AI has it to kick a field goal, between the opponent's 30 and goal, between 4 and 4 downs. 100% Field Goal Output. Why did it go for it? I'm completely and utterly dumbfounded.

None the less, that must've been the CLOSEST GLB game i've ever seen. Neck to Neck from start to finish. I expected no less from the Raiders. Good game to you guys and it really was anybody's game. If we converted that 4th down, we most likely would have put up 7 points and taken the game. Subsequently, if we made the 43 yard field goal with 19 seconds left, we would've at least gone to overtime. It's ridiculous that GLB doesn't have spikes implemented yet. Good game Raiders, enjoy your victory because it sure feels terrible on this end.

Note I said 'will' be our toughest competition. Meaning whatever is left on our schedule. I don't think anyone will doubt the Wolverines. Although I have a feeling the Ferrymen might give you a run for your money in the playoffs
