Stock Rising: The London Silly Nannies finally posted a win after last weeks defeat of the Smurfs. Although they may not win but 1-2 more games at least they have a good chance of not being last.

Stock Dropping: The Newport Tsunami are coming off of a stinging loss to the Generals that came down to the wire in what deserved to be the game of the week. The Tsunami's scheduele doesn't get any if much easier. If they can come away with at least 3 out of their next 5 then they will be in good shape to hold onto their 8th seed playoff spot.

The Georgia Power Game of the Week: (8th Place) Newport Tsunami at (5th Place) The Warsaw Gods of War.

Prediction: I'm going to go out on a limb this week and pick an upset although it's not much of one. The Tsunami's rebound and defeat the Gods of War 34-27.

Okay - now I am sorry for opening my mouth........I feel like I have a big target on my back.........From now on this player/owner is going to play nice

Ya you are the top you have 21 of your players in your team, you worked hard for the recruiting. That really suck when a team have 20-30 of their players comes from owner and GM's and after they said that they will beat all the league with no fucking difficulty. When you will do a real recruiting with maybe 1 or 2 of your players come to play a real game.

i have 22 (not 21) of my own players on my team. 9 of these have never played in a game (not even in D-League) as they are experimental slow-builds that are being financed by the team until lvl 7 and then will be cut loose.


of the other 13, i have 2 starters (HB and Kicker). I'd always planned to use my own HB, the Kicker is unfortunate because i couldn't find any Kicker out there worth a shit so I just decided to use my own.

the 11 backups play special teams and, as they are backups, backup the starters whom i recruited.


there are (by my count) 29 agents involved with the team. I likely spent more time recruiting than anyone else in this league. my method, however, was to go out and find a player who had the type of build i was looking for and was the type of agent i was looking for and recruit only that person. that's it. 1 contract offer per position. i had (if i remember right) a total of 6 rejections (and then i find someone else to recruit if rejected). Everyone else bought what I was selling and now i have a team i'm proud of.

i didn't frantically send out offers to any free agent the marketplace or forums showed like most of the whining lemmings i've heard who couldn't field 1 good build on their team. i told the folks i was recruiting what my plans for their player was, some general ideas about my plans for the team, and let them know how i was going about doing things (namely, that they were the only person i was recruiting at their position).


perhaps the status quo method of sending out a contract offer to any retard who rolled up a character at a position you need isn't the best way to go about doing things and is the reason there are so many shit teams out there. there are several people i talked to that claimed to have hundreds of contracts out at any given time and prayed that someone, anyone, would accept so they could get rid of their CPU players. the more 'choosey' folks i talked to still recruited at least a half dozen players at every position.



it's too easy to try and point to one thing and jump up and down and cry and groan. that's the easy part: to just whine and throw a hissy over the guy kicking the shit out of you. the harder part is to figure out how they did it and then compete with them.

i try very hard to stir some shit up and paint a nice big target on my back for folks to take some shots at in good fun and in good humor. BUT wow man, you come with THAT stuff? the soft shit of 'omfg *cry* you are beating me because *cry* and it should be different because *cry*...'

you're just inviting someone to shit-can you. next time leave the self-ownage at home and bring some heat.


i responded to your post and defended the way of my team not because i felt like i owed you or anyone an explanation about how the Spartans do things, rather, because if you wipe away your tears you might realize something...

Kinda sad that Ambrose will only have 2 starters in when the Krieg face-smashes the Spartans.

At least Sweetness will be there. All our linebackers have been talking about is riding that train.
