I don't have time to write a lot for this week's games. So here are the picks:

Week 5: 7-0

Cairo over Algeria
Algeria's looked flat in every game outside of one, which they still lost. Cairo should be able to pull this one off.

Carthage over Gunston
Gunston has looked hot early in the season, but they've played what could be the 5 worst teams in the conference. I look for Carthage to stay on track in this game.

Congo over Food Mongers
Congo's just too much for the Mongers to handle.

P-Town over Hippos
The hippos defense is just awful. I expect P-Town to put forth enough on both sides to be able to pull of the win.

Egypt over Madagascar
Madagascar started hot, but fell off sharply in their last few games. Egypt's offense has taken advantage of lesser teams outside of Cairo: that trend continues through this week.

Nigeria over Freetown
Nigeria finally gets a little respect in this column. Freetown is 2-3 while Nigeria is 3-2, but Nigeria's put up better numbers against tough opponents in the last two weeks.

Luxor over Warren
Warren is doing a respectable job putting together their roster after Mozambique left the league, but Luxor has a little more coming into this game and should take it.

Enjoy!

Hopefully your right about Carthage and we don't lose 52-9.

Good picks! Something tells me that the Bombers will win tomorrow not only because of home field advantage, but I also believe Cleveland has the better defense and Casablanca's offense hasn't been as effective as last season. And as always, Pike and his squad will gameplan to the best of their ability.

Wait a sec! You start picking the Nightmares, we'll have nothing left to complain about! :-)

Good write up, as always. Thanks

I like Bignasty but I have to go with Cleveland also. Casablanca lost to them twice last season and I dont think it will be different this time. Of course, 3rd time could be the charm.

Yeah, The Bombers are tough no doubt. They held the most dreaded back in The Elephant Conference to some terrible numbers .

GG Pike. Our offense just couldn't get off the ground but we kept your offense pretty contained. Look forward to another match up, sucks to be 0-3 vs you guys though. Good game.

Yep, gg to you guys, too. I'm willing to bet Shark hates playing us by now. ;(

Our kicker is struggling from outside of 40 this season. I guess those changes Bort made took hold pretty hardcore.

LOL, your defense has shark's number no doubt. Smith may be the most underrated back in this league.....and quite possibly the best. He must have broke 11 tackles on that long run for a TD. Good game, Bombers, you're still my favorites to win The Elephant.
