I got up at about 7 in the morning the first day teams were released and started offering. Spent a good 4 days (2 of the days my A/C was being replaced, but I kept on through the heat) perfecting my roster. Since then a couple have come and gone, but the team overall is very good. And yes, finding good backups is a tough job. Most of the dumb level 8s want a huge contract and a starting positions when frankly most of their builds suck.
Sheesh, your team is amazing for starting so late. Grizz and I started recruiting about 4 days before they were released, that's when we got most of our team.
well i originally was hoping for a gutted team, so I could get all my friends together (most everybody's players were above 13 at the time). So, I didnt want to recruit early either way, just wanted to wait and see what I got. Signed 3 OL first (gave em a good chunk of change as a bonus) and from there on out, the roster helped me recruit. Easy to get a good RB when you've put together a strong OL to block for him. Accidently signed 2 extra LBs, so I ended up finding them starting roles on other teams, so they'd play and not be third string (I thought this was rather kind of me). Also had some DT turnover.
Will be fun to see how recruiting goes next season. Will my players return? Will I have to recruit a whole new team? If we are able to move up, will we be able to compete with the players we have against already established teams?
This game is worse than cocaine or pop rocks (you can never eat just one pouch) in terms of addictiveness. I see. Well, you fielded a great team either way and I hope we *don't* see you guys in the playoffs
