Okay I was having some issues with my laptop yesterday and had to format it
So now that it seems to be up and running correctly again I'll do the predictions
What would you guys do without me when I'll be on vacation August 16-31. Anyone care to step up? I mean I still MIGHT be able to do it I just don't know my internet status at where I'm going... okay now for the first game.
Madagascar Mobsters vs. Windhoek White Rhinos
Well Madagascar doesn't look to be getting any better... or at least good enough to contend with the rest of the league. This should be a shutout game by the Rhinos, plain and simple. This will be the first HUGE blowout score I predict so I'm wondering if I get close to it
White Rhinos can already look forward to their next game, they win it 0-73.
Oum-Chalouba Zebras vs. Tanzanian Morning Wood
Once again it'll be a tough team the Zebras are facing this week. I don't think, with this rate and the amount of good teams or better teams compared to last year, that they'll make it to the playoffs this season. They'll just barely miss it. On the other hand it looks like the Morning Wood are one of the best teams in this conference. If they hadn't lost to the Spears I would have had them at #2 on my personal team ranks
#1 would be my favorite team outside of the Buckeye Nation... I wonder who that is...
Morning Wood wins 10-30.
Kalahari Vikings vs. Valla Beach Woolsheds
The Woolsheds broke even at 2-2 last week after a losing start. Luckily those teams they lost to weren't too bad. Now that they are facing weaker opponents they should be able to get that record up and be the winning team they were last season. I have the Woolsheds winning easily in this game although it won't be a huge blowout.
Final score in favor of the Woolsheds, 7-27.
Niger Mambas vs. Nairobi Warthogs
Well except for the Mobsters I'd have to say the Warthogs are the doormats for everyone to step on and win. Okay they aren't that bad but it looks like they'll have a similar record to what they had last year with this league getting tougher in between that off-season... and the Warthogs haven't changed that much as you can see they took no chem hits at least that I've seen. Good luck Warthogs this season, you'll need it
Now to talk about the Mambas... well they started out 1-3 and I think that is almost how their season will go being a .500 team. They aren't one of the weaker teams in the conference but aren't a one of the stronger ones either.
Mambas win it 35-16.
Calumet Hitmen Cartel vs. Cape Town Billievers
Well with a name change do they plan on getting more wins? I guess there is a new owner but I didn't really remember the last one's name since they weren't active on these forums. As for the Billievers they kept their name and just revamped the whole fricken team... I'd have to say they've had the biggest change for the better out of all the teams in this conference I've seen so far. I'd be surprised if they didn't make the playoffs this year like they did last year.
Billievers will be winning it, 6-24.
Mombasa Spears vs. Zamunda Prince Akeem Joffey
Game of the week runner up here... and well, the Joffey just lost to a good team in the Kings last week and with a tremendously tough schedule ahead they'll need to at least pull of a win or two through that tough stretch. Luckily it isn't the end of the season yet or they may have ended up .500 or worse. I don't see them taking this game form the Spears either because I'd have to say the Spears are somewhere around #3 on my personal team rankings. Yes... I've been talking about that personal team ranking thing a lot and is curious to see what how other people would do their own personal team rankings or something. Anyways on to the score...
Spears take this game from the Prince Akeem Joffey, 30-21.
Zambia Lions vs. Buckeye Nation
Game of the week here, two good 2-2 teams face each other here and they both don't want to go 2-3. Unfortunately one of them will, well that's excluding a tie but no one wants a tie... unless that is of a another team and it would lead to them getting into the playoffs or something. Last year the Nation took the regular season game in a close one but then took a pounding by the Lions in the playoffs. With the desperate move by the Nation and taking a Chemistry hit will it be enough to sneak out of this game with a win? I don't seriously know but I know it will be a good game.
I sure as heck would think and like the Nation to win... but that's just me, TUC and the rest of that team would think differently... I hope. If I gave out a score I'd have to say 19-24.
Cape Verde Kings vs. Burundi Scorpions
This shouldn't be too hard of a game for the Kings to win it. The Burundi Scorpions are an average team in this conference and I believe the Kings are on of the better teams. I think the Scorpions will be fighting for that last playoff spot in the end of the regular season. They'll probably have a similar record with what they have now.
Final score in favor of the Kings, 33-9.
