(Barcelona) - After the Chupacabras most recent win, we were able to catch up with the French man who plays corner back for the Barcelona Chupacabras.
1. Corbain, you were with the Chupacabras since they began as an expansion club right?
A. I was recruited at the beginning of the creation of the club and thought that this club could go far. I also succeeded in getting my friend, French Kiss on the club as well.
2. What made you want to be a member of the Chupacabras?
A. I am proud to be a member of Barcelona, I do not know what my future with the club will be, we will see, but I feel really good here.
3. Do you think that the team is headed in the right direction?
A. Obviously yes, there are adjustments indeed to be made but they begin with a record of 2-2, and tenth place in the conference. I think that they will surprise more than one team.
4. You had some rather good games these past few weeks. What do you attribute to your new found success?
A. Training, entertainment and good games called by the coach. They trust in me and I hope not to disappoint them.
5. You had three interceptions in two games. You became the "ball hawk" of the defense. Would you agree?
A. With pleasure, but I believe I'll get some more attention now in future games during the season and I think that my team mates SPEEDY, HANK, MEL and VINCE are going to raise their level of game and will also have their instants of glory. But I will make sure that everyone can count on me!!!
6. How do you think that defense is gelling?
A. They have started finding our strengths, and the players know each other better, I do not know if there will be a contribution of new players, but the defense in place is going to be better and better each week.
7. Do you think that this team could make good things happen in the long run?
A. I think that Barcelona has something special to make this season worthwhile, it is early but I believe in us. The only team which distances itself belongs to the HIPPOS, after them everything is open and there is a chance we could bring home a title.
8. What do you think of the owner and the general managers?
A. At the moment they are on the same page with game plans but I think that they have started finding the game plans which are suitable for us and make the team win.
9. What are some regions in which you can improve?
A. At the moment I am trying to raise my endurance, afterwards the speed and the tackles will be improved.
10. What do you think of the competition for next week?
A. Their strong point is the pass, best for me, I hope I can still express myself, but apart from that I think that to them they think they are superior therefore I think that we are going to kill them!!!
