Season 4 First Quarter of the season rankings for USA #7 (Western Conference)
Disclaimer: I am the owner of the Las Vegas Stunners and this is only my opinion based upon how the teams looked when I saw them. Best Game - 34-14 Victory over preseason favorite, Silverymoon -http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92939
In a very tight and evenly matched game, Austin made the big plays when they mattered. They utilized a very balanced passing attack to move the ball at will against a tough Silverymoon defense. They fell behind early 14-7 showing that their defense is capable of giving up some big plays, but proceeded to score 27 unanswered points as they shut Silverymoon down after the first quarter.

Tough to find a weak game on a 4-0 team but an unconvincing 11 point win vs. a team that they out leveled at almost every position will have to fit the bill here. Nothing really stood out from the box score other than the final. Once again the Austin Defense gave up another big touchdown play.
Biggest test in next 4 games - Spicewood is the only projected playoff team they will face in the next 4 games. An 8-0 start is really looking like a good possibility.

Best Game - 31-14 Victory over a much improved Portland team - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92913
Silverymoon dominated almost every phase of this game including 3 including holding Portland’s rushing attack to less than 1 ypc and intercepting Portland Franchise QB Johnny Danger 3 times. Offensively, they rand the ball right down Portland’s throats waiting for Portland to have an answer which the never did.

Austin was able to pass the ball at will against their defense collecting over 330 yards of passing offense on 63% completions. Offensively they were able to amass nearly 400 yards of total offense, but unfortunately, with the exception of 2 big plays, were not able to turn yards into points
Biggest test in next 4 games They have a very tough next 4 games with 3 projected playoff teams on the schedule, but the biggest test will be this week vs. a Dallas team that is much improved from last season

The final score does not accurately tell the story of how well Oakland played in this game as the completely controlled the clock with their running and short passing game. Defensively, the completely shut down Spicewood until late in the game by compiling 5 sacks and holding Spicewood’s rushing attack to 1 ypc

Another nitpicking choice that had to be made for an undefeated team. 40-0 usually means well played, but in this games Oakland was very sloppy against a very undermanned New Brunswick team. Their Kicker missed 2 FG’s including one from inside 20 yards. They also turned the ball over 3 times. These are mistakes that will have to be corrected if they plan on maintaining the top spot in the conference.
Biggest test in next 4 games - Their next 2 games will be tough tests, but I will have to go with their game vs. Buffalo. Buffalo beat them 16-3 last season and they have a very solid and deep roster. Oakland will look to avenge last season’s loss to Buffalo.

Las Vegas appeared to have hit on the perfect game plan vs. a very good San Diego team that was promoted last season. While the total yards were very close in the end, Las Vegas was able to control the ball very well and score TD’s when they had their opportunities while employing a bend/don’t break defense that gave up a lot of yards but kept San Diego out of the end zone until late in the third quarter.

In an ugly game by both sides which included several strange decisions which can only be attributed to both sides coaches incomplete understanding of the advanced tactics which included Dallas not kicking a field goal within range as time expired in overtime. Las Vegas was lucky to escape this game without a loss on their record.
Biggest test in next 4 games - Their next 4 games will all be tough assignments and they will need to go at least 2-2 in this stretch to stay on track for a good playoff seed. That being said, I will have to say that their toughest test will be vs. #2 Silverymoon. Silverymoon outlevels them at almost every position and you can be sure that with all the Alphas involved on Silverymoon, their builds are just as good as their levels.

Best Game: 20-10 Victory over Buffalo - http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=1702
Very even game, but the breaks went the way of the Longhorns with 3 turnovers allowing Spicewood to control the game and hold on for a high profile victory over a solid Buffalo squad. Building a 13-3 lead at the half and exchanging TDs in the 2hd half, Spicewood reclaimed a top 4 position in the conference.

In an early season game with new defensive AI, Oakland managed to exploit several blown coverages and kept the ball away form Spicewood while controlling the game. Spicewood managed 14 points in the 4th qtr to cut the margin, but the damage was done early with Oakland able to move the ball at will while opening up a 23 point lead.
Biggest test in next 4 games - No doubt about it...a matchup with 4-0 Austin Lumberjacks, currently holding a 21 game win streak, in week 6. Austin has a very solid squad, perhaps a little deeper than Spicewood, and slightly out-leveling Spicewood, it will come down to execution for an early season look at two of the conference favorites.

Best Game : 153-0 Victory vs. Somerset - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92950
While I don’t generally like to look too closely at a mismatch game, Buffalo had 3 different RB’s with 200+ yards rushing and just made a joke of the individual leader boards with their performance in this game as they held Somerset to negative total yards for the game.

They mayhave been a victim of their own success after running up the score vs. Somerset in the previous game. Perhaps they were drained on energy much like the Armbridge Brigade Curse of Season 2 in the A7West. In this game both teams were almost equal in yards gained, however the 3 turnovers by Buffalo certainly appeared to be the deciding factor.
Biggest test in next four games - After another stat padding game for them up in game 5, they have back to back games against higher ranked teams in Oakland and Las Vegas. With Las Vegas seeming to have their number with two victories vs. Buffalo last season, Buffalo will need to figure out a way to make sure they don’t go 0 for 3 vs. Las Vegas since arriving in A7.

In an opening day performance with 2 teams with high hopes of a deep playoff run, Portland was able to squeak out a victory with a 2 minute drive led by Johnny Danger that would have mad John Elway proud. Though the final score was close and while clearly not firing on all cylinders, Portland totaled nearly 400 yds of total offense and proved that they could stand toe-to-toe with one of A7's most improved teams.
Worst Game : 21-24 Loss to San Diego http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92911
A squandered opportunity to open up the first quarter of the season 3-1 in a game they should have won. This game clearly cost them some momentum heading into the Elves' game and the questionable offensive and defensive AI decisions (eg. Forfeiting a FG opportunity on the Marauders' 21 with the clock ticking down) and Bort's offseason build adjustements sent them back to square-1 in hopes of addressing these issues.
Biggest test in next four games - With only one projected playoff team in the next four games, Portland will certainly have their biggest test vs. Spicewood. With both teams off to a decent start with each having a disappointing loss on their results page, this game will be critical for playoff seeding and perhaps a home playoff game if either can get on a run. If Portland can hold off the Longhorns, there's a strong possibility they could be 7-2 heading into the week-10 Oakland matchup.

Dallas put on a clinic against San Diego, but I have to give San Diego some credit they were a good team and I was very surprised by the outcome.
Worst Game - 17 - 17 tie vs Las Vegas - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92896
Don't feel like we played as well as we should have and if not for screwing up the AI even our kicker could have made the last second FG from the 15. Very disappointed in this game and hope to play them again in the playoffs.
Biggest test in next 4 games - As of right now it is Silverymoon but this may not be posted until after our game. Spicewood is the only other one in our next 4 that I worry about. Not looking forward to playing Austin and Oakland later down the road.

San Diego managed to keep it close for 3 quarters in what can only be called a slug-fest. In the 4th quarter San Diego, down 14 - 10 used a balanced attack to put 2 TDs on the board, the winning TD coming with just 1:50 left in the game.

Dallas dominated the younger San Diego team on both sides of the ball. Completely shutting down the San Diego running game while managing to move the ball at will. San Diego's cause was not helped by 2 fumbles by their new punt returner which were returned for TDs.
Biggest test in next 4 games- San Diego's biggest test in the next 4 games is to find a way to defense the new A7 offenses. Last year San Diego relied on a fast and opportunistic defense to limit the opponents scoring while using a balanced offense to control the clock and keep opponents guessing. This year with a lot of new faces on the team the defense has been giving up big plays on a regular basis while the offense has struggled with its consistently. With the Silverymoon Elves coming up in 2 weeks the Marauder have little time to figure out how to right the ship. But the will need to start putting some W's up soon, as they need to go 3-1 over the next 4 games if they want to even think about competing for a playoff spot this year.

Best Game : 35-17 Victory over Grand Haven - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92960
After losing half of their roster in the off-season, Waco was able to show early that they still have plenty of weapons to be competitive in this league with this dominating performance in their opener that saw them rack up monster yardage while still grabbing those sacks and turnovers which made them so good in their first 2 seasons.

After going into the playoffs the previous two seasons as the #1 seed, the new team in the league decided to show them that there’s a new sheriff in town, and instead of the ATF carrying guns, this team carried an axe and pretty much chopped their way all over the field as Waco stood by as if they were trees.
Biggest test in next 4 games - You can bet that Silverymoon will have revenge on their minds after Waco ended their 24 game win streak last season. I can see Silverymoon attempting to run up the score in this one.

Best Game : 138-7 Victory over Somerset - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92952
After being at the wrong end of some blowouts in their first two seasons, Grand Haven took out their aggression on a poor Somerset. They amassed a team record 857 yards of total offense which included 653 yards rushing. On the defensive side, they were able to grab 5 picks while getting to the quarterback 9 times.

In a complete mismatch Silverymoons showed Grand Haven what it takes to be a top tier team in this league as Grand Haven was beaten in every facet of the game in this one.
Biggest test in next 4 games - with two projected playoff teams in the next 4 games, I am going to have to say that although their next game vs. Spicewood will be a difficult test, it appears that Oakland matches up against them even better and it will be an uphill battle for Grand Have to pull of that upset.

Best Game : 29-3 Victory over Miami- http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92971
In what appeared to be a pretty even matchup in the pregame, Proctorville was able to force 4 turnovers from Miami and took advantage of those turnovers to cruise to an easy victory.
Worst Game : 34-10 loss to Silverymoon - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92979
3 turnovers and 3 sacks allowed proved to be their undoing against a stronger deeper Silverymoons team.
Biggest test in next 4 games- They have 2 playoff contenders coming up in the next 4 games and both Oakland and Buffalo will prove to be a tough matchup for Proctorville. With a few trades pending today, it is clear that team ownership is continuing to make attempts to improve their team and they may be able to pull off one of these upsets.

In a matchup of two teams that were fighting to avoid relegation last season, Miami proved in this close game that they are still pretty evenly matched with the likes of a Grand Haven. They have some decent pieces and have had a brutal early schedule that will surely allow them to go on a run at some point this season.

Nothing to be ashamed of here as many teams have had their worst performance vs. Austin. They were clearly outclassed and it showed on the scoreboard and in the box score at the end of the game.
Biggest test in next 4 games- With 4 second tier teams on the schedule, it will be difficult for Miami to shake this brutal early schedule to turn things around. They will certainly be an underdog in each game with the game vs. Waco possibly being the one game that they have the best chance at an upset in as Waco reloads at some positions after several departures during the offseason.

Best Game : 72-0 Victory over Law Town - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92987
An undermanned n00bs team was lacking a HB for this game and was forced to start their FB as the HB and he delivered with 186.5 yards and 2 TD’s. The defensive players that remain from last seasons team were able to dominate Law Town on their side of the ball.
Worst Game : 66-0 loss to Buffalo - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=92989
Having been shutout 3 times this season, one could argue they have had 3 bad games, but this game vs. Buffalo stood out as Buffalo was able to pad their stats vs. an undermanned n00bs team as the n00bs allowed Buffalo to rack up nearly 700 total yards in offense while New Brunswick was only able to muster up 61.5yards of offense.
Biggest test in next 4 games - As we approach the bottom of the rankings, most certainly every game for the lower ranked teams will be tough. With that in mind, the best chance of an equal test that New Brunswick will have in the next four games will be in games 5 and 6 vs. Proctorville and Grand Haven. With a quality gameplan and perhaps a decent signing or two before these games, New Brunswick will able to get themselves some breathing room as they attempt to avoid relegation

Best Game - Not much to report in the way of best games. It will be difficult for Somerset to avoid relegation after inheriting a gutted team.
Worst Game - Unfortunately all of the above.

Best Game - Not much to report in the way of best games. It will be difficult for Law Town to avoid relegation after being relegated from above with what appeared to be a gutted team. The best they can hope for is for Enzyte Bob to get himself a 4 hour erection to knock his opponents out of the way
Worst Game - Unfortunately, just like Somerset, all of the above.

This game clearly cost them some momentum heading into the Elves' game and the questionable offensive and defensive AI decisions (eg. Forfeiting a FG opportunity on the Marauders' 21 with the clock ticking down) and Bort's offseason build adjustements sent them back to square-1 in hopes of addressing these issues.
Biggest test in next four games - With only one projected playoff team in the next four games, Portland will certainly have their biggest test vs. Spicewood. With both teams off to a decent start with each having a disappointing loss on their results page, this game will be critical for playoff seeding and perhaps a home playoff game if either can get on a run. If Portland can hold off the Longhorns, there's a strong possibility they could be 7-2 heading into the week-10 Oakland matchup.

Dallas put on a clinic against San Diego, but I have to give San Diego some credit they were a good team and I was very surprised by the outcome.

Don't feel like we played as well as we should have and if not for screwing up the AI even our kicker could have made the last second FG from the 15. Very disappointed in this game and hope to play them again in the playoffs.
Biggest test in next 4 games - As of right now it is Silverymoon but this may not be posted until after our game. Spicewood is the only other one in our next 4 that I worry about. Not looking forward to playing Austin and Oakland later down the road.

San Diego managed to keep it close for 3 quarters in what can only be called a slug-fest. In the 4th quarter San Diego, down 14 - 10 used a balanced attack to put 2 TDs on the board, the winning TD coming with just 1:50 left in the game.

Dallas dominated the younger San Diego team on both sides of the ball. Completely shutting down the San Diego running game while managing to move the ball at will. San Diego's cause was not helped by 2 fumbles by their new punt returner which were returned for TDs.
Biggest test in next 4 games- San Diego's biggest test in the next 4 games is to find a way to defense the new A7 offenses. Last year San Diego relied on a fast and opportunistic defense to limit the opponents scoring while using a balanced offense to control the clock and keep opponents guessing. This year with a lot of new faces on the team the defense has been giving up big plays on a regular basis while the offense has struggled with its consistently. With the Silverymoon Elves coming up in 2 weeks the Marauder have little time to figure out how to right the ship. But the will need to start putting some W's up soon, as they need to go 3-1 over the next 4 games if they want to even think about competing for a playoff spot this year.

After losing half of their roster in the off-season, Waco was able to show early that they still have plenty of weapons to be competitive in this league with this dominating performance in their opener that saw them rack up monster yardage while still grabbing those sacks and turnovers which made them so good in their first 2 seasons.

After going into the playoffs the previous two seasons as the #1 seed, the new team in the league decided to show them that there’s a new sheriff in town, and instead of the ATF carrying guns, this team carried an axe and pretty much chopped their way all over the field as Waco stood by as if they were trees.
Biggest test in next 4 games - You can bet that Silverymoon will have revenge on their minds after Waco ended their 24 game win streak last season. I can see Silverymoon attempting to run up the score in this one.

After being at the wrong end of some blowouts in their first two seasons, Grand Haven took out their aggression on a poor Somerset. They amassed a team record 857 yards of total offense which included 653 yards rushing. On the defensive side, they were able to grab 5 picks while getting to the quarterback 9 times.

In a complete mismatch Silverymoons showed Grand Haven what it takes to be a top tier team in this league as Grand Haven was beaten in every facet of the game in this one.
Biggest test in next 4 games - with two projected playoff teams in the next 4 games, I am going to have to say that although their next game vs. Spicewood will be a difficult test, it appears that Oakland matches up against them even better and it will be an uphill battle for Grand Have to pull of that upset.

In what appeared to be a pretty even matchup in the pregame, Proctorville was able to force 4 turnovers from Miami and took advantage of those turnovers to cruise to an easy victory.

3 turnovers and 3 sacks allowed proved to be their undoing against a stronger deeper Silverymoons team.
Biggest test in next 4 games- They have 2 playoff contenders coming up in the next 4 games and both Oakland and Buffalo will prove to be a tough matchup for Proctorville. With a few trades pending today, it is clear that team ownership is continuing to make attempts to improve their team and they may be able to pull off one of these upsets.

In a matchup of two teams that were fighting to avoid relegation last season, Miami proved in this close game that they are still pretty evenly matched with the likes of a Grand Haven. They have some decent pieces and have had a brutal early schedule that will surely allow them to go on a run at some point this season.

Nothing to be ashamed of here as many teams have had their worst performance vs. Austin. They were clearly outclassed and it showed on the scoreboard and in the box score at the end of the game.
Biggest test in next 4 games- With 4 second tier teams on the schedule, it will be difficult for Miami to shake this brutal early schedule to turn things around. They will certainly be an underdog in each game with the game vs. Waco possibly being the one game that they have the best chance at an upset in as Waco reloads at some positions after several departures during the offseason.

An undermanned n00bs team was lacking a HB for this game and was forced to start their FB as the HB and he delivered with 186.5 yards and 2 TD’s. The defensive players that remain from last seasons team were able to dominate Law Town on their side of the ball.

Having been shutout 3 times this season, one could argue they have had 3 bad games, but this game vs. Buffalo stood out as Buffalo was able to pad their stats vs. an undermanned n00bs team as the n00bs allowed Buffalo to rack up nearly 700 total yards in offense while New Brunswick was only able to muster up 61.5yards of offense.
Biggest test in next 4 games - As we approach the bottom of the rankings, most certainly every game for the lower ranked teams will be tough. With that in mind, the best chance of an equal test that New Brunswick will have in the next four games will be in games 5 and 6 vs. Proctorville and Grand Haven. With a quality gameplan and perhaps a decent signing or two before these games, New Brunswick will able to get themselves some breathing room as they attempt to avoid relegation

Best Game - Not much to report in the way of best games. It will be difficult for Law Town to avoid relegation after being relegated from above with what appeared to be a gutted team. The best they can hope for is for Enzyte Bob to get himself a 4 hour erection to knock his opponents out of the way
