Here we go again, trying to get the predictions out early for you guys. After another round of games, and another 6-2 week, it’s time for me to step it up. I’m going to go 8-0 soon enough… its bound to happen. In fact, I’m calling its going happen this week! Warsaw and Kilkenny had to go and wreck things last week, and I’m going to put one of them on the spot this week….

Week 1: 7-1
Week 2: 6-2
Week 3: 6-2
Week 4: 6-2
Total: 25-7

Here are your week 4 predictions… and by the way, if you haven’t noticed, I usually try to do what I call the upset “special” of the week. We’ll see if I have any comedic talent… (I doubt it).

Game of the Week:
St. Louis Storm (2-2) @ Kilkenny Cannibals (1-3)

Now you guys are probably wondering why I have two middle of the pack teams as GOTW, well its because I think this is the best matchup, and because the big boys need a break from the spot light every once and awhile. The Storm had been one of the hottest teams in the league the last two weeks, beating Transylvania and Oklahoma. With Indigo Montoya leading the air attack and Jerry Applewhite paving the way on the ground, they have formed a dual threat attack that is proving dangerous. Kilkenny is in for a dogfight, but they are coming off a huge win over London last week, and a 20 for 24 day from QB Meko Fountiain.
I just don’t think Kilkenny is going to have enough to stop the roll of the Storm, and they will go home with a 31-24 win.

Vatra Dornei Wraiths (2-2) @ Dublin Drunken Monkeys (3-1)

Vatra is coming off a very tough loss where they couldn’t stop Amsterdam on the ground. They are going to have to step it up this week against the league’s #7 rushing team, and #4 rusher in Brad Theisen, who is coming off a 228-yard performance against Ithaca. The Dublin defense has looked a little suspect lately, and is going to have to do their best to contain TE Bubba Little, who is coming of a 10 catch 100 yard performance.
In the end, I think the D-Monks ground attack will be too much for the Wraiths, and they pound their way to a 41-31 victory.

Basin City Blues (2-2) @ Grim Reapers (4-0)

The Reapers have had a relatively easy schedule so far, only being tested by the Storm, and are coming up against a very good Blues team who has given both Warsaw and Belfast 2 very tough games. It’s going to be up to BCB fumble causing machine Robo Backer to slow down the balanced attack of Grim, while Grim DE Alotta Pain is looking to add to his already double-digit sack total.
In a “So what if your blue, at least your alive” upset special… The Blues pull out a 28-24 win.

Ithaca Space Munkees (1-3) @ Belfast Mafia (4-0)

Belfast has been cruising through their schedule, with a small speed bump in the BCB game, while Ithaca is currently on a 3 game skid. They have a very tough game to try and turn it around, as the Mafia have 3 victories of 39 points or more this season. The Mafia is looking to capitalize on an Ithaca run defense that allowed 322 yards last week, with Speedy McBane and Trent Daniel leading the way. Swankwell Gunslinger is trying to improve on his 190-yard performance from last week.
The talent of the Mafia proves to be too much in the end, as the go on to a 35-13 victory.

London Brawling Tommies (1-3) @ Amsterdam Arctic Blast (4-0)

The Blast continue on a roll as they have ripped off 4 straight to start the season, and are looking to take #5 from the Tommies, who are coming off a very tough loss to the Cannibals. The Blast continue to lead by RB Rut Men as he carried the load last week with 36 carries and a 181 yard day. The Tommies QB rotation is going to try and burn the Blast with QB’s Tripping Lightly and Mark Manges, trying to break that top 10 pass defense.
The Blast power their way to a 42-14 win.

Crimson and Cream Sooner Machine (0-4) @ Transylvania Bloodsuckers (3-1)

The number 1 passing attack in the league welcomes one of the worst passing defenses in the league, and they will look to take full advantage of that. QB Jason Coker continues to put up record numbers as he leads the Bloodsucker attack.
In a blowout, Transylvania by 50+.

Wrexham Maelor Brionnfhionn (0-4) @ Warsaw Knuckleheads (4-0)

Wrexham has got to be disappointed so far this season. I don’t think anyone saw them coming in to this game winless, and this week is no easier as Warsaw brings in the #1 rushing attack in the league. Kal-El Jones and Eduardo Caroccio are the 2nd and 3rd leading rushers in the league and look to push for the number one spot against a Wrexham defense that has had problems stopping the run. Wrexham is counting on QB Jeffry Jackson to keep this one close.
Warsaw runs all over Wrexham on their way to a 45-20 win.

Clydesdale Colts (0-4) @ Oklahoma Outlaws (1-3)

After a promising start, Oklahoma has lost 2 straight and is looking to rebound against a Clydesdale team that has had a very tough start in their new league. They have dropped their first 4 games and haven’t been able to put up more than 10 points in a game. The Oklahoma offense hopes this is just the game they need to get their offense going as they have had a tough time scoring the last two games.
Oklahoma gets the ball rolling the right way again with a 42-7 win.

Ok guys, I know I’m not bolts, but here is my shot at what I’d like to call the “Blackout version” of the W.E.A.7. Alpha Pre-Season Predictions.

7. Basin City Blues: This team is lead by a couple of the big uglies in OT Dan Dority and DE Chris “The Twister” Turner. If these two big boys can get the rest of their team fired up, the Blues could do some major damage in the league, maybe pull some upsets. They’ll be making another trip to the playoffs this year, but will most likely stop at round one.

5. Grim Reapers: Defiantly the most improved team in the offseason has brought in a ton of talent this year to battle for a spot in AA. They have brought in WR Assan Leggs to lead a passing attack that could be one of the best in the league. They are going to be the new member of the league’s elite.

Yes, like you said, except for St. Louis, our opening schedule has included several "gimmies" against the league's weak sisters. Just curious as to which one we didn't pummel bad enough? - The Colts, who our defense held to exactly the same number of points as the vaunted Transylvania and Warsaw teams, while our offense ran up a higher score than either? - The Sooner Machine, who scored 15 more points against Warsaw than they managed against us, beating them by a 6 pts larger margin than Warsaw did? - Maybe the vastly improved Tommies, who scored 10 points higher against Transylvania than they managed to put up against us? - Or was it that close game we had against St.Louis, where we only held them to scoring 17 points less than the Bloodsuckers that shook your confidence in Grim's ability to take care of business this week?

Believe me, the Grim Reapers have nothing but the utmost respect for the Basin City Blues. They're a great team who can play head-to-head with anyone in this league and have already proven that fact this season. We expect a close, grueling war against BCB on Monday, but we fully expect to come out on top at the end. We spoiled several of Bolts predictions last season & I'll tell you "why" we're gonna spoil this one for ya:

#1 - While BCB may enjoy a level advantage a couple of key areas, we're confident that our builds & game-planning will go a long way towards offsetting this.

#2 - BCB has a great group of starters, but they're relatively hollow. When their starters start getting winded, our greater depth should give us an edge while their back-ups are on the field.

#3 - We're borrowing a page out of BCB's playbook that should help us sustain drives just like they've used it great effect during their first 4 games. (Now, if only they could figure out "which one?")

#4 - BCB's team chemistry is down in the low 50's.... Ain't nobody in this league knows more than we do about how much that can hurt a team in trying to win a close one. (One of the main reason's BCB pulled out their game against Dublin is because the Drunken Monkeys' team chemistry is down in the 50's too.)

And finally, what's probably the BIGGEST reason your upset prediction is gonna blow-up in your face is....

#5 - You called ALLOTTA PAIN a DT.... He's a DE and feeling rather insulted by the mistake and intends to drive that point home by driving BCB's QB into the ground!

REb, our team chemsitry was just as low when we played Dublin. So that kind of contradicts your theory there.

And as for taking something out of our playbooks, go for it. I like to say we run a "Remember the Titans" style offense. 6plays, 3pass 3 run. We don't care if you know its coming you still have to stop it.

Our depth has been killing us all year, one of the reasons our team chemistry is nearing rock bottom. But its kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation there.

All in all, it'll be a good game. Hopefully we can pull a win out, these loses are starting to get to us

Agreed Pity... It's gonna be a war. My comment about your Dublin game was more pointing out that with Dublin's chemistry also being down in the 50's, the chemistry issues kinda went away for that game as both teams suffered from the same problem & they kinda offset. I'm pretty sure that the chemistry problem is what really made the difference in BCB's two close losses to Belfast & Warsaw.

My Reapers had exactly the same problem last season (where our chemistry went down into the low 60's) & the gremlins started hitting us in big games. After throwing 2 INT's in the first five games, suddenly we throw 7 in one game? Then the next game, the INT's go back to normal , but we're losing 4 fumbles? Weird, twilight zone shit begins happening when your chemistry is too low.

This whole thing wasn't meant to throw smak at BCB this week. It's all too possible that we could lose this one....

....but I just had to yank Blackout's chain a little!
