Alright all, here's the week two rankings. They are STILL very rough, so please give it a few more weeks before the rankings are really established. I know there are flaws in it, but they'll be worked out in time.

Comments were added to each team, the record is shown next to their name, and their previous ranking is in (parenthesis).

Biggest Dropper: Calgary Thunder (#4 to #14)
Biggest Riser: Revelstoke Revolution (#15 to #10)

The Playoff Teams:
1) Vinland Vikings 2-0 (1)
--Offense looking potent. Can anyone slow them down?
2) Queen City Black Cats 2-0 (2)
--Faced an easy team and destroyed them.
3) Halifax Hashishim 2-0 (3)
--#5 rushing game looking good
4) Saskatchewan Sasquatches 2-0 (5)
--Champions moving up 1 spot, looking dangerous
5) Cheyenne Mountain Air Force 2-0 (6)
--Not talked about very much, but the #3 passing O looks dangerous
6) Saskatoon Guerillas 2-0 (9)
--Only team to beat two teams with an overall score of 36
7) Nebraska Husker Maniacs 2-0 (11)
--#6 Passing team + #8 Rushing team=Dangerous offense
8) Cold Lake Wolverines 2-0 (10)
--Sum is greater than the parts
9) Montreal Canadiens 2-0 (13)
--Not blowing people out, but they get the tough win
10) Revelstoke Revolution 1-1 (15)
--Top ranked team with a loss, has played two very good teams (#13 and #15)
11) Calgary Wrestlers 2-0 (12)
--Haven't faced the toughest competition, but they have a stud HB
12) Sudbury Spartans 1-1 (8)
--Loss to #5 knocks them down
13) Vancouver Vindicators 1-1 (7)
--One point loss is disappointing, but has a cupcake up next
14) Calgary Thunder 1-1 (4)
--3 point loss vs #6 Saskatoon hurts; should rebound next week
15) Manitoba Icemen 1-1 (14)
--Misses out on chance for revenge against the Sasquatches
16) Hillsburgh Hillbillies 1-1 (17)
--Big win over cupcake; will be challenged next week

Still competing for it…
17) Winnipeg Warriors 1-1 (18)
--Next four games will be a tough stretch
18) Red Deer Blue Elk 1-1 (19)
--Big win after disappointing first week
19) St. John's Salty Dogs 0-2 (16)
--This team is too good to be 0-2
20) Destruction Bay Dragons 2-0 (21)
--Leads the league in rushing, but who have they played?
21) Saskatchewan Beavers 0-2 (20)
--Hard to beat the #1 and #8 teams
22) Quebec Boreal 2-0 (24)
--Wins against #31 and #32...play someone real
23) Portsmouth Cavaliers 0-2 (22)
--Played two great teams, but got killed each time

Need a miracle…
24) In San Jose Pimpin Aint Easy 0-2 (23)
--Better than last year, but still seeking a win this season
25) Flint Tropics 0-2 (25)
--Weak team playing someone weaker next week, expecting a win
26)Toronto Smoke 0-2 (26)
--Opponents running through Smoke
27) Kelowna Outlaws 0-2 (27)
--Will probably start 0-7 before they have a chance for a W
28) Iqaluit Arctic Wolves 0-2 (28)
--Has some great players, but too many holes
29) Castlegar Crusaders 0-2 (29)
--Pathetic defense can't keep up with respectable offense

Not a chance:
30) Barkmere Bulldawgs 0-2 (30)
--7 players over level 10 says it all
31) Peterborough Preachers 0-2 (32)
--A few CPU's over 10. Only chance for a win is vs #32 All Stars
32) Bloodwesier Bugle All Stars 0-2 (31)
--No player over level 2...

Whatever. I agree we haven't played any good teams yet, and won't until the 4th game, But we are better than you think.

I forgot to mention this, Queen City beat them 70-0, we beat the same team 63-0. So based on a common foe, I think we deserve some consideration. I don't think we are top 5, or even top 10, but top 16, yes.

This is a good argument; however, the reason I ranked you so low is simply because you're overall as a team is 30. I base my calculations largely off of this # as well as who you've played and margin of victory. I just don't see you beating a team that has an overall score of 36 unless you come out with a killer gameplan. Trust me, if you do beat them, I'll catapult you into the top ten, but until you do, you'll probably fly under the radar.

Thanks to the rest of you for the compliments =) Good to know several hours of work is enjoyed, if not debated.

Hey, come on you post it, it then hs to be debated. I do enjoy it, but like anything (I'm a pessimist) I can always find flaws in almost anything. I do know, that in games 4 & 5 we play 2 top 10 (#'s 5/9) teams. Now what if we win 1? how about 2?

Oh, and other than me complaining about my team, meaning me in your threads, it is good work, that you do here, Dan4GS.

I like these type of threads, Thanks Dan4GS.

Thanks Len. I knew they would be debated...I figured you're team might stir up some debate because of your record and how well you're run the ball, and the other problem I had with the rankings was the Revelstoke Revolution, who are 1-1, beat a team lower than them but also lost to a team a few ranks lower then them. It'll just take a few more weeks to really work itself out. If you beat either the #5 or #9 teams, you'll go way way up.

That's not entirely fair as Vancouver was ranked above us last week. The only reason they're ranked below us now is because we beat them. It's really hard to say who belongs where just yet. It'll be closer to mid-season until the cream really starts to rise. I'm now sure where we'll be, but we'll all find out soon enough.

I think you were a little harsh on the Icemen. They lost to a team in the top 5 and beat a team ranked 10th. And don't let the scoreline fool you in their loss, it was a close game until a couple of quick scores knocked the stuffing out of them in the 2nd half.

We certainly won't be underestimating them if we both reach the playoffs.

I guess thats a minor point. Great job on this. It makes for very interesting reading and adds a bit more spice to the fixtures.
