1. Carolina Hammer 2-0
Lost to CBMB in the playoffs last season despite having a better game statistically - so until they lose, they remain in the top spot. Dominating wins over NY and a good Monkeys team seals the deal. Their schedule doesn’t get any easier in week 3 as they face off against #6 Canton, but I think they will continue to show why they are the class of the division.

2. DC Warriors 2-0
Lost to CBMB in the playoffs last season as they lost their third straight conference title game. They've won their first 2 games handily but the games were not as tough as Carolina, so they remain in second. Up next is French Lick who as played them closely every year. A loss here could make them question their boosting strategy.

3. Care Bears 2-0
The Care Bears are off to another great start with a solid win over French Lick under their belt. They've beat DC the past 2 regular seasons, but lost in the playoffs both times to DC so they remain at #3 (for now). They should roll over Cleveland next week as they get ready to face in week 4.

4. Rock Stars 2-0
After a 1st round exit last season, they've started off in fine form beating Orlando by 7 in the first game and then notching a solid win over Colorado. They should beat the Spartans this week before they get to show if they belong in the top 4 with a tough match against the #1 Carolina Hammer.

5. Dogg Pound 1-1
They lost to the rock stars in week 1 but came back with a dominating 38-10 win over last years #8 seed West Bend slotting them at 5. They have 3 very winnable games coming up against Colorado, Cincinnati, and Columbus before matching up against the Care Bears in week 6.

6. Canton Hall of Famers 2-0
The season 3 BBB2 champs have looked solid in wins over Colorado and Columbus, but will get their first real showdown against Carolina in Week 3. A win over Carolina will give them a statement win and will likely vault them into the top 4.

7. Eleven Wise Monkeys 1-1
The BBB1 Eastern Conference champs are not going to like this spot, but their only win is over a Columbus team who has never had a winning record and a 38-7 loss to Carolina doesn't do any favors (nor does it do any ill as Carolina is tough). I have a feeling they're not going to remain in this spot and will likely climb the rankings throughout the season. They have the opportunity to win 6 straight games before they face the Care Bears, but they will have to beat French Lick, Oregon, and West Bend to do so. I think they will win all 6, and the Care Bears will have to face a 7-1 team in week 9 that will be looking to show what they can do.

8. NY Steel-heads 0-2
I can't drop them any further but disappointing back to back losses have placed a cloud over this early season favorite’s chances. The next 5 games offer a chance to bounce back before they face the Care Bears in week 8, but French Lick, and West Bend aren’t going to roll over for them.

9. West Bend Warlocks 1-1
After a solid win over Cleveland in week 1, they had a disappointing match with Orlando in week 2. They should win next week against Cincinnati, but the season doesn’t look any easier after that with 6 straight tough games beginning with Care Bears, DC, and NY.

10. French Lick 1-1
French Lick is looking to move from an also-ran to a contender this year. A dominating win over Cincinnati was a step in the right direction, but a 17-0 loss to the Care Bears dimmed their hopes slightly. Still a 17-0 loss to the Care Bears is very respectful and this team is in prime position to push for a playoff berth this year. A win over DC (who they only lost to by 1 point last year) will go a long way to getting that playoff spot.

11.Oregon Ducks 1-1
The upset win over heavily favored NY has teams looking twice at Oregon this season. If they can beat the Monkeys next week or even play them close, we could be seeing a resurgence of this team as a dark horse this year.

12. Colorado Storm 0-2
The once dominant storm have faltered out of the gate again this season suffering losses to Canton and the Rock Stars. A win over Orlando next week would restore some pride to this franchise.

13. Columbus Spartans 0-2
A team that always seems to give people fits, but just can’t break through. They’ve slipped this year losing to Canton and the Monkeys. Things don’t look to get any easier against the Rock Stars next week, but the Storm in week 4 is an interesting matchup.

14. Cleveland Greyhounds 1-1
Cleveland’s had a rough go of it in recent years and it doesn’t appear to be any better this season. However, after a loss to West Bend, they did beat Cincinnati and one more victory can keep them in the A1 for another season.

15. Compton ‘Nilla Wafers 0-2
The former Penn Lions are having a rough go of it in the early season schedule having to face the Care Bears in week 1 and D.C. in week 2. Next week doesn’t get easier as they travel to NY but the Oregon Duck’s victory does give them hope.

16. Cincinnati Slaughter 0-2
The loss to French Lick is understandable, but the loss to Cleveland puts them at the bottom of the rankings. If they can shock the world and beat West Bend next week, we could see them rise up the rankings quickly.

Pretty fair in my opinion with your rankings. My only comment is when Orlando played the Rock Stars in Game #1 the Rock Stars had boosted all of their players 3x's, whereas we weren't close to anything like that at the time of that game. But they did beat us fair and square and their is a strategy in when to boost as you very well know.

Good job

PS - The East is tougher this season than last season in my opinion. Agree? Disagree?

gotta go with the results man

no worries, since this is after 2 games I'm sure a lot of this will change.

the East is more even and tougher this year vs. last year - just wish the grizzlies had remained intact because they looked like they were on the verge of breaking into the pack... oh well - there's 10 teams this year, by my count, that could make the playoffs and I think that's pretty darn good...

DC is the team to beat IMHO. I think our matchup with Carolina will tell the tale of which is the best team in the East this year.

I honestly don't understand why you guys haven't boosted yet. At your lvl, the advantage from late boosting is negligible and you've already got a 1/2 to 3/4 lvl advantage on the rest of the league.

We have had extensive team discussions in our forum about this very subject, but have no fear, we will be the team to beat this year (hopefully).

NEW YORK STEEL-HEADS should be #15 or 16 in ranked. We are 0-2.

Don't worry, we don't plan on staying at the bottom for long...(I hope)..lol

No need to boost (yet). When will we boost? ahh, that is the major question...

I hope the Sphere make it to the final game and lose. That way they leave the league a Loser.

Cerneo, if you read this, the Sphere can't even make it to the championship game to even play against a top notch Eastern team. Yeah, I finally used my hands to type this. Maybe I'll get the guts to type something in a Western thread but, logically, I can't see why I would waste all that energy.
