Grave Diggers for the win!

I want to see predictions for the East's Game of the Week between the Slashers and the River Rats, a pair of home playoff teams two seasons running. Each opened the season with a win in Week 1, setting up a great early-season showdown. The Slashers' big 37-12 Week 1 win over Tennessee, itself a home playoff team the past two seasons, put the league on notice that Washington will be one of the teams to beat in the East. The Slashers own a 2-1 lead all-time in the series with Memphis, but all 3 games have been decided by a TD or less, so I expect another brawl today. Will Memphis avenge last season's 20-13 playoff exit? Or will the Slashers open with back-to-back wins over their two nearest competitors from a season ago?

I predict the Slashers take this game and put a line of 3. I could see the score somewhere around 20-17.

Our game is really a toss-up. I'll say us by 6 though. I am the owner after all...

Since Germ was too LAZY to do it, I will post the matchups in here so I don't run em outta a good thread

My picks in bold, GameOfTheWeek underlined.

Austin Beavers vs. Big Bear Avalanche

San Diego Demolition vs. Cleveland Elves

Oklahoma City Strikers vs. Barbarian Horde

Hellas Longhorns vs. Tana River Ewoks

Lake Placid Predators vs. Death Valley Grave Diggers

Denver Shockers vs. Albuquerque Isotopes

Chicago Hedgehogs vs. Brooklyn Beastmen

Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters vs. Mentone Beach Assault

This is one heck of a game between the Bugs and Mentone, I dont see it letting anyone down at all. I would give the edge to the Bugs in this one, solely based on past performance although it could easily go either way.

Okay, so I suck, 5/7 on todays games.

Albaquerque and Mentone, solid games today.

Mentone, I dont know if I am going to pick against you again the rest of this season. Solid performance, great D.

Picks aren't my thing, apparently. Ill stick to shutting WRs down

Not a whole lot of love for the East today, but it sure feels good to get that first win of the season, even if its against the Energy.

Time to get ready for the Villagers.

We fail. We wanted this one bad too. Hats off to the Slashers, everything was just executed better in all phases. It seemed we had good coverage on alot of plays, but those Slasher receivers just out gamed us and caught the ball on the majority of them. Great game Slashers!!

GG to Memphis, always a tough team!

Very happy with some of the tough grabs our receivers came down with.
