Season 4, Day 2 - Berlin Thunder vs Bath Killer Bees

Day 2, and the Bees were travelling to Berlin in order to face the Thunder. Berlin won the toss, and designated to recieve the ball in the first half.
On their first drive, hopes were dashed as NT Doug Supernaw (4 Tack, 1 Sack, 1 FF) powered into the backfield, pressuring Diego Schotte (21/36 136yds) too heavily, forcing a fumble that was recovered by DE Andrew Heidke

With the ball on their own 38.5, Bath drove with the ball in the hands of Speedee McGee (26 Rush 125yds, 3 TDs), finally rushing in from 0.5yds for 7. Berlin 0-7 Bath

After a muffed kick-return, Berlin were forced to 3 and out, punting the ball back to the Bees, who drove effectively again, this time Guns McCoy (11/14 93yds, 1 TD) hooking up with TE Eddie Bell (5 Rec 41.5yds, 1 TD) Berlin 0-14 Bath

After more to-ing and fro-ing, where both teams punted, Bath took the field early in the 2nd quater and drove from their own 23 yard line, only to be stopped by a stubborn Berlin Defense on their 2yd line, forcing a FG. Berlin 0 - 17 Bath

Berlin once again were forced to punt by a stubborn Bath secondary, Jon Holloway (4 Tack, 5 PDs) breaking up a 3rd down play.
The Killer Bees offense were on a high, and drove effectively again, Speedee McGee taking the ball in for his second score of the day. Berlin 0-24 Bath

Berlin's Offense took the field, and drove effectively, seemingly building momentum, Diego Tardelli taking responsibility into his own hands and leading his team succesfully into Bees territory.
Just as the Thunder Offense were gathering momentum, time ran out on them and the whistle blew for the end of the half.

2nd half
With Bath recieving the ball in the 2nd half, the Offense were looking to put up another score and put the game beyond doubt. Backup QB Tim Williams (5/8 46yds) led the Bees with some useful running from backup HB Brock Leetman (23 Rush 125.5yds), and backup FB Armando Lopez (11 Rush, 47yds). Berlin 0-31 Bath

Berlin retook the field, and were forced to punt again, Jon Holloway yet again there to break up Tardelli's passing game. As time ticked away in the 3rd quarter, both teams were forced to punt again, before Bath drove into the 4th quarter.
Once again, the Bees offense couldn't make another score, and took the 3 points, kicked by Odd Skulll (2 FG, 4 XP)

Into the 4th quarter, neither teams could build a substantial enough drive to score points, although Berlin will take solice in the fact that their Offense moved the ball effectively in the 4th quarter.

Berlin next travel to Pamplona to face the Bulls, and the Bees host the Stirling Crusaders, after last season's heavy defeat, they'll be looking to turn things around.
