*These rankings are subject to change with boosts and on field performance.

Rockford Wrecking Crew vs Dallas Horns
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=112&team2=774
Dallas, number one in the rankings faces the #14 Wreckers.
Our Horns are in the second game of their joke of a 4 game opening schedule. Look for murder and mayhem. Dallas will lead in almost every major statistical category in the league by the end of week 4 and wont have anyone breathing down their necks for a while.
Dallas rolls 77-3

North Carolina State vs Texas Roughnecks
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=764&team2=776
Anice match up of the #3 and #8 teams. State can make this game a close one in the begining, but eventually little Texas will pull away with just too much talent. I am looking for a bunch of defense from both sides with most of the offense from lil' Tex.
Roughnecks win 24-13

Omaha Mavericks vs. Oklahoma City Spartans
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=765&team2=1276
A ho hum battle between #6 and #11. OKC is a manly team waiting to pounce. They should have very little trouble imposing their will on the Mavs. The Mavs are a little out talented here until they boost. Should be a cake walk, but your settings better be right.
35-12 OKC

Austin Powers vs. Texas Tornado
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=766&team2=1242
#13vs#16 will never get your juices flowing, but for these two it is important. This weeks addition of the relegation bowl will be a blow out. Tornado are not an untalented team. They just happen to be in a nasty west division. Heads will roll.
Tornado wind 77-0

Austin Longhorns vs. Caribbean Sphere
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=770&team2=768
This weeks GOW pits the #4 and #10 teams. While another game has two that are closer in my rankings, I think Austin is a better team than I have them ranked. They are facing a murderers row for four or five consecutive weeks, they will be underdogs in all. The good news is they can beat any of them. The bad news is I would not bet on it. I look for a battle here early, Sphere will impose their will by running the ball stubbornly and eventually wearing Austin down to a nub. Austin will hit on a couple of highlight plays. Upset probability is only a 4/10
Sphere makes this one seem easy. 31-14

San Francisco Stonecutters vs. Allen Zephyrs
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=777&team2=739
Ouch this game has been blacked out in San Francisco to preserve the morale of the city.
Allen 100-0

Oklahoma Thunder vs. H-Town Hitmen
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1275&team2=1310
A true barn burner and was a candidate for GOW. The Hitmen sit at #5 and are facing a mostly if not fully boosted #7 Thunder team. The upset alert is high,8/10. However, it wont be much of one. Thunder proved their wares last game going toe to toe with Houston 14-0 these boys can play. H-town is a proud and well coached crew. I still got to go with H-town
Hitmen win close 15-17

Round Rock 12th Man vs. Houston Orangebloods
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1318&team2=762
The battle of #2 and #9 looks pretty close on paper. Paper is deceptive. JV Aggy is very over matched in this game. I am trying to find where there points are going to come from. I have come to a conclusion, they wont come.
Houston wins 33-0

Thought I would try a little different format this year. I have mostly stayed out of the prediction business up til now, but I had fun with the interviews and such in the pre season.

Also, an fyi. I intend to do a player of the year ranking for offense and defense.

The voting thing never pans out, so here is how it will be formulated.

Every four weeks, I will go to all of the game recaps. there are 5 player of the game spots listed. Top guy on each weeks game will get 5pts. 2nd gets 4pts. 3rd gets 3pts. ETC. I will add these together and viola the person with the most point at the end of each four week period is ranked. At the end of the year we will have our top players.

If this sounds stupid let me know.

Sounds like a good idea.

Although I would like if the two gutted team results are ignored.

We can do that. Or we could toss out each teams largest margin of victory.

Hm that might work better.

I wish bort would re work the stats for end of the season trophys, not sure if you have seen it but a RB got 991 yards in his first game over a gutted team...

I am not too against counting gutted teams as everyone plays them. The biggest deal, is say they are a slow build team. they start as lvl ones and houston gets 5000 yards against them in week one, but Sphere plays them in week 16 and they are lvl 15, its not close to the same team and Spere only gets 1000 yards.

I dont believe in removing them or the stas because they suck, I think every league needs some meat teams. Every league in the world has some bottom dwellers.

I think bort needs to give trophys for conferences though. The situation where one conference has 5 gutted teams and the other only has one really screws the better conference with maybe better players out of some hardware.

If your that damn bored you could always do the east.

It would take me a week to do the east and do it right. Honestly, I know very little about them. I hardly acknowledge they exist until the playoffs. Not a dislike thing, more of a focusing on my world deal.

Although, I am routing for the artists formerly known as the Drillers.
