I think I'll cut straight to the chase... but remember I can't really base this off anything since it is a new season and some teams have changed a lot.
Burundi Scorpions at Kalahari Vikings
Well... going by average levels there isn't much of a difference with one team in the low 15s and the other in the high 15s. It'll be interesting to see what these teams cook up because I don't see any REAL advantages over the other team in this match. If it comes down to anything it'll be a fairly close game with a one to two TD difference in the end.
Final score in favor of the Vikings 27-17 just because I always seem to get their games wrong last season whenever it was a more even matchup...
Buckeye Nation at Madagascar Mobsters
This time I'll go with average levels and the outcome of last season's game. The Buckeyes have an average level of 18 and the Mobsters are barely below 16. Last years outcome was a win by the Nation 25-14 but most throughout most of the game it was 25-7. I think the only thing the Mobsters could have going for them in this game is Chemistry but then again these two teams have comparable Chemistry.
Of course I go with the Nation in the win, 24-13.
Cape Town Billievers at Valla Beach Woolsheds
Wow the Billievers had a huge overhaul in the offseason. My only concern for that team is the load of players they have in each position... it would be nice if they were all high leveled with good builds but some are dragging that average team level down. If they are able to keep their starters out for most of the time I think the Billievers can win.
Billievers win in a close one 17-16.
Mombasa Spears at Oum-Chalouba Zebras
The Spears have one of the toughest schedule to start off with but they should thankfully start out with a win here. The Zebras sneaked into the playoffs last year thanks to a late playoff push and a key win against the Mambas. They haven't changed much though so I'd expect another .500 season from them even though they did look good in the preseason.
Spears win it 34-21.
Zamunda Prince Akeem Joffey at Niger Mambas
There isn't much of a difference in starter levels and average team levels. Can the Prince win after a name change? I think so... but then again the Mambas barely missed the playoffs last year. I'll watch for the score in this game because I really don't know who to side with here. It's a coin toss for me.
Mambas get a slight edge on the Prince and win it 16-20.
Tanzanian Morning Wood at Calumet Wolverines
I always thought the Wolverines were a few players away from being a good team and thought they could win against the lower half of the league last year but... they just kept losing. Well the Morning Wood should win this game easily making their debut in this league a strong one.
Final score Tanzanian Morning Wood 38, Wolverines 14.
Windhoek White Rhinos at Nairobi Warthogs
*Pulls out magic voodoo spell* Oh wait... I don't think the Rhinos need it in this game
Well whenever I pick the Rhinos to win, they win and when I pick them to lose... they lose. It only seems to work with this team too... aside from that I think the Rhinos win this game easily.
30-3 in favor of the Rhinos
Zambia Lions at Cape Verde Kings
Well... once again the Lions have low Chemistry. I think that it will effect them in the long run and in this game it'll probably be the factor in whether it is a close game or not. At least the other team doesn't have 100 across the board in Chemistry and can't boast the highest level players like the Lions do.
Lions win it, it might be close though... 27-20 seems like a popular score in the preseason so I'll go with it.
Well I just pulled some stuff out my behind for some of these predictions. On a more serious note they'll get better as the season goes and probably more accurate...
