This is fun. Like everyone else, there just isn't enough time for me to be consistent, so more people should try this every once in a while. Sorry, but I don't know the West well enough to write.
Bitzkrieg Bandits at Toronto Bobcats
Blitzkrieg has the advantage on paper, but those Bobcats are tricky. Good planning all around. The Bandits had a rough preseason opener, but pulled it together for game 2. Toronto likes the close games, but the Bandits have the chem advantage.
TB's defense matches up well against BB, and I think they have an opportunity to keep it low scoring, but their offense won't have the power necessary to pull off the win.
Blitkrieg 23 - Toronto 6
Quebec Quasars at Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Notre Dame's offseason could have been better, they have one of the best starting lineups in the conference, but an already small roster got even smaller, now they have CPUs. Quebec proved that their revised roster can take on the best. This one will be decided late, but ND runs out of steam.
Quebec 27 - Notre Dame 7
Nova Scotia Snakes at Hamilton Lightning
Lightning beat Wolf Pack, who beat Notre Dame, who beat Crush, who beat Lightning. Season 4 is in their favor; they're in the mix with some elite teams. Nova Scotia should have won by more than they did, but a win's a win. They showed they can win a close one. Both teams have high chemistry, because neither team made many moves this offseason. Hamilton should have picked up some more defenders though, because the Snakes will slither right over that D-Line.
Nova Scotia 16 - Hamilton 14
Lancaster Hustlas at S.W.O. Swamp Donkeys
Lancaster is going for a new look this season, dropping the Kidz as GMs, and pulling in some high level CBs. The offseason showed their roster still needs some work though. Their offense couldn't kick it into gear. This looks like the spartans against the Persian army. Lancaster has some quality in there, but the Donkeys have 31 players on their defense. THIRTY-ONE! Quality over quantity here though, and Hustlas gain some confidence.
Lancaster 24 - S.W.O. 23
Sacramento Terror at Winnipeg Wolves
This one comes down to chemistry. The 4 point advantage, and a roaring home crowd, will get Winnipeg the late push they need.
Sacramento 0 - Winnpeg 147
Antioch Inferno at Niagara Assassins
Niagara beat Montreal soundly, and played Listowel close, and Antioch plays a lot of close games. Football games are won in the trenches. Even though Niagara has a better defense, the Inferno o-line pushes them for field position, and plenty of field goal attempts. Daggerthuggert misses somre more though, including a chance to win.
Antioch 6 - Niagara 7
Yellowknife Rented Mules at Thunder Bay Shockers
Thunderbay has lost 12 straight, and only scored in 3 of those games. Thunder Bay has done a great job balancing their roster with level 4 humans and level 12 CPUs. Total attendance: 1500
Yellowknife 14 - Thunder Bay 7
Gaffney Indians at Montreal Raptors (17 - 3)
Oppogo Lake monsters at Saskatchawan Wolf Pack (13 - 21)
Tradewest Battletoads at Listowel Huskies (24 - 34)
Laval Lumberjacks at Alberta Alchemists (31 - 9)
B.K. Thunderbirds at Westwood Bruins (0 - 48)
Vancouver Crush at Thunder Bay Titans (18 - 26)
Bologna Towers at Port Moody Megalodon (0 - 70)
Quebec City Dirtbags at Memphis Maulers (14 - 10)
okay, and... GO!
