Well whats everyone thinking? Im not sure what the hell happened but our QB went in the tank with the settings we used, he is a great build and was great for us last year even though we were a running team, and today he completes 28% of his passes.... geezus, and to boot our WR's dropped 8 passes! We didnt get bit by the Sacks or penalties Ive seen people griping about but I am wondering if anyone elses passing game took a dive? I dont get it because we added 2 stud WR's and now have 4 lvl 20+ guys, all with quality builds and good #'s in catch and vision but they had stone hands today, any ideas? I know we are all competing against each other but if anyone wants to discuss what worked and didnt work to try and get a jump on things Id love to talk through PM so just hit me up and Ill share my thoughts if you share yours.

My defense gave up 63 points to a team and missed 45 tackles total. I'm not very pleased with the way this season is starting to look. We don't have a lot of players above lvl 17 on our team so I don't expect to be dominant by any means but competitive is a must. Last season we held the 3 top teams in our division to 38 or less points. #1 38-0 loss first game of the season. #2 team 27-7 loss that kept us out of the playoffs and #3 team 17-0. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't the way that I had our D set-up because it wasn't anything out of the norm. On one play we had 6 missed tackles on the other teams back-up RB. I'm pretty disappointed to say the least.

Could be confidence build? I don't remember where I read it, but WR's with low confidence tend to drop more balls consistenly.

I agree, if your WR drops one pass, he gets discouraged and might drop another pass, and so on and so forth. This would be my guess, I dont know about the QB thing however. The E.C. Express didnt notice any big disappointments like you guys. Of course it could have been the team that we were playing against, but we didnt do too bad apart from 9 missed tackles. I hope everything works itself out.

I love the new sim. It actually makes you think in terms of football sense. After some adjustments after the first preseason, one team I GM for has actually got everything set so that we are ready for the season.

It makes those people who don't know football very far behind the curb. We spent over 12 hours setting up our defensive AI and over 3 hours setting up our offense. Once we finalize the new energy settings for CB / WR, we will be in great shape

My bad, I don't have all of the defensive AI in yet, with it in our defense should be much better.

The Cannibals are happy with the new sim, once we get the substitution patterns fixed a bit.

BTW, the sims have seemed much better so far today as well, at least with the teams I'm associated with. I doubted that we should start after just 2 scrimmages but I'm pretty confident things will work properly now.

It will pass a long time before EVERYTHING gets in place. We just need to be patient, that's all.

Yea thats what I thought, funny thing is I am an offensive coordinator and I feel that I am very good at what I do, in fact I just managed to get an unpaid assistants position with a big 10 school this summer and yet, with the new tactics, my team has sputtered in the first two scrimmages. And my QB has thrown for 27% and 54% completions while my offense has dropped nearly 20 passes and my Defense missed 17 tackles the last game alone, this after going 13-3, making the conference finals, and adding some very good players while losing no one of importance....awesome

that's cool that your doing something with a Big ten school but Im 200% positive that there is no correlation between coaching real football and running your Simulation offense here

You played probably the two best teams in the entire league. That could also be a big reason.

So true. The thing is, we should all forget what we know about football, and learn what GLB football is.

Yes I think we had 7 missed tackles all of last regular season and we had more missed tackles in each of the preseason games. I think that is more realistic though.

Yea except now the FG kickers are in the shitter as well, Our lvl 22 K goes 1-5 and my kicker in another league who had 90% accuracy last season went 2-3 and missed 2 XP's!?!?! this whole missing the point after consistently crap is ridiculous. If this is to be a realistic similuation, the NFL averages less than 5 missed extra points league wide in a season and my stud K misses two in the first game?

Yeah, that's pretty messed up.
