I was shocked at how my level 25 center with these stats was schooled by a level 19 DT. Anyone else have something similar?

Strength: 81.25 Blocking: 66.62
Speed: 20.34 Tackling: 16.44
Agility: 41.11 Throwing: 9
Jumping: 8 Catching: 8
Stamina: 32.13 Carrying: 7
Vision: 34.19 Kicking: 7
Confidence: 23.6 Punting: 7

Probably a combo of confidence/speed.

Thanks for the build advice, but not quite what I was asking. Have any other O linemen noticed a major performance change since last season?

more pulling for my guard occurred (he plays backup RG,LG,C) but I was pancaked like twice playing backup center... But my guard only has 73str, 61block, 27agi, 24speed, 28vision,27confidence so maybe that's why... He even pulled as a LG so that works now... though he needs like 10 more speed, agility and vision.

Seems like it's harder to run effectively with the new sim.

Using the team scouting bars, here's a few results from teams in USA and Canada:

39 rushing/45 blocking vs. 39 rush D-->3.4 ypc
39 rushing/48 blocking vs. 39 rush D-->3.3 ypc
36/45 vs 36 D-->1.8 ypc
36/42 vs 36 D-->0.8 ypc
39/45 vs 42 D-->0.7 ypc
27/45 vs 39 D-->0.1 ypc

That's the complete opposite of what I saw today.

this matchup
http://goallineblitz.com/game/compare_teams.pl?team1=1313&team2=1331

resulted in the Cube's starting hb averaging 9.2 ypc. he only got 12 carries, but the opposing team had 5.2 ypc on 19 attempts and 5.1 on 8 attempts. both very high numbers.

As for the pulling guards, from what I've seen (from looking around, not just that game), g's seem to be able to get out to pull even with lowish agi/spd (in the 20s), but unless they have decent vision, they seem to not pick up anyone to block. though, I'd like to go look at zarkoviyx g try to pull, cause it looked like I saw some other Gs with worse stats than those do pretty well on the pull.

I've noticed the center now releases the NT to block a LB on a lot of rushing plays.

NT's are getting in the backfield much more often because of it.

Those are a few of the times it happened in one game.

that's odd. the NT splits the C and RG. RG just can't get in a position to slow down the NT's beeline to the QB/RB. Wonder if it's a lack of vision or agility in the RG that allows it to happen.

Here's one where the RG makes the block after the C releases:

Now this NT is a level 26, but he's got the 24 C,21 LG,21 RG all blocking him and he breaks through and makes the tackle. Crazy.

check out this crazy block. Make the corner and then come back to chip both ends.

My blocking felt the same. I play LT, not C though.

my ROT blocked better than i've ever seen him play, although he was going against an equal level DE, whereas all last year he was outmatched by 4-7 levels just about every game. but i saw him release to the LB a few times, which was pretty cool

Looking at the other players on my team though, the interior linemen got totally destroyed. It killed our ability to run the ball which was actually very good last season.

The effectiveness of the O-line is very dependant on the C.

If you got flattend by a lower level DT, he may have a a D-Line General that's more than awesome. It may also be a combination of the DT's SA, stats and play intensity. You were playing relaxed or normal, while the DT was set to Hard.

But I would think that your built is more than good enough to put the block on a DT 6 levels lower.
